Yeah, I went to Va Tech in 2002, and they did not know how to take us. They were not used to opposing fans showing up in such numbers, they asked do y'all always travel like this - we said - "all SEC teams travel like this".

And yes - they did the Hokie Pokie and it may have been the lamest thing I've ever seen.

I was in Blacksburg in 2002.

Campus police said they'd never seen so many RVs from an opposing team.

LSU fans drank the bars dry on the first night.

I thought the SVP/ Russilo thing was from a 2012 or 2014 Bama game.

was 2012 Bama, the Yeldon play. I was in the student section that season and have been attending football games since 1993. I've seen a ton of football in Death Valley and that one night ranks as top 3 atmospheres I've ever been part of.

High praise from Va Tech fans is impressive. They probably thought their stadium was the best before they came here..

TBH these people got to see TS after all the “game experience” changes came together. I have been attending LSU games for 40+ yrs and I have always loved it but some of the things they raved about are just coming to fruition.

This was the first game they actually used the LEDs as you have seen elsewhere. The music was synched to the LED wrist bands. The sound system and video boards are new/improved. The playlist was unique to say the least. And finally, the game result/flow was like a Rocky movie ending…

I agree with the part about a lack of build up before the team comes out. They no longer show the footage of the team in the tunnel. I loved Coach O when he would hold the team back.

Just proves LSU fans are spoiled and irrational. Not real fans perse, but the rant sky screaming crybabies

The LSU fans you see bitching and moaning constantly on here make up about 1% of the stadium. And 0% of the stadium after half time.

What I find so ironic, is that they absolutely love the Boosie, Lil Wayne & Garth Brooks piped in music, as well as the light show, that so many on here can’t stand.

What "grandparents" don't like the piped in music?

Yep.

They got to see peak Tiger Stadium. Any of us who have been attending games knows that's not the "norm". There are moments when it gets to full strength in just about every game. But rarely does it stay at sustained full strength. Everything fell into place to make that happen.
