Trap only because LSU could be looking ahead to a big NY6 bowl game in the fiesta sugar or peach bowl against a big time opponent. This Aggies team is “tougher” than their record shows. This isn’t the same Sumlin led a&M squad. They’re gonna hit LSU in the mouth just like Florida and Auburn did. Might be one of the more physical teams we’ve faced. Alabama is physical but I’d say offensively they are just so much faster than everyone.

As a Tiger fan don’t expect this to be the typical automatic W like it’s been in previous seasons. It will likely be closer than we’d like but I still think Orgeron has them ready and the good guys make the plays to get it done.

Geaux Tigers!!

Not sure the last game of the year, which follows a game against a literal cupcake, can ever be called a trap game.

It will be a tough game for sure.

EVERYONE knows how important this game is to both teams. And, no one believes that LSU has a free pass to win. It's not a trap. It's fricking SEC football week to week where any given day either team can win. But, thanks for the heads up.

can't be a trap game if you're an underdog.

I don't think of it like a trap. I do see it as about 50-50 though. It reminds me of that game at Auburn, which went down to the wire. Fact is despite the big difference in our respective records, these 2 teams are evenly matched. Most fans do not want to come to terms with this. I am a realist. This will be a tight battle.

Yeah tough is a better word. This is the game I’ve been worried about all season. That last game in College Station. Jimbo is different and finishing the season with a win will be a big deal to him unlike Sumlin

How exactly is this a trap game? There’s not a game to look forward to besides a bowl game with an unknown opponent in a month. Hell we aren’t even favored at the moment so in what way is this a trap?

I agree. 100%. This will be the start of a new era in the LSU-A&M series. Probably very low scoring. It’s a big one for recruiting

I don't believe in trap games, but if I did, this game would not come close to qualifying. Written all over it? Where? What aspect of it made you say this?

Yeah, but since this is Jimbo's first year with this team, Coach O should have the advantage, right? I mean, if you go but we heard last year.

I used the wrong word. Trap game no. But a sneaky game that we shouldn’t assume as a win? Yes.

A lot of your post is correct. The part about this being a trap game is not.

Which games haven't been "traps" this season?

I feel like people are either
a. Using the term “trap game” too loosely
b. Have no idea what it means

I lean more towards b personally. This is in no way a trap game. It’s one that will be tough to win, sure, but we are well aware of that and what we stand to win/lose.
