I was disappointed to discover that all the capitalized words in the OP did not form a code stating that Devin was definitely coming back.

They were just the product of a raving lunatic.

I mean a year continuing to play for nothing or a year to get paid to play....

Easy choice!

Good point. I know DW a tad better than most, so that’s just my personal opinion. If my sons grow up to be anything like him, I will be over the moon.

Do you think it’s a coincidence that most of the bubble players are returning or do you think there is a catalyst driving this? Don’t be surprised when he sends out the tweet next week

Jamal Adams
Guice
LF7

Physically they were not made like most people. But from day 1 everyone knew these guys were attention whores. They trolled because they want the attention. DW has done nothing on social media to deliberately get the fans hopes up just to create more traffic to his pages

Tom Coughlin is driving Jacksonville straight into the ground. I wouldn't want to play for him either.

No. Coughlin is making Jacksonville better and purging the trash. Fournette is one of the biggest busts in NFL history so far. He needs an attitude adjustment and stop trying to be LeBron Bitch.

It is about shelf life. Football players only have so many years to play. Age, injuires, genetics all catch up.

Is it wise to trade in a year of cash flow (plus compounded growth on that cash flow) for some bit of glory?

Business wise the answer is no.

Personal reasons the answer depends.

Whatever DW decides, I repect till the end. It is his family and life.

I support DW no matter what he chooses. If he stays, and we get the offense to work to potential this could be our year. If he goes, I will still cheer for him, unless he's playing the Saints(we know NO doesn't draft Tigers)

It’s not just about the money.

The problem I have with OP is he makes it seem like leaving early for the NFL should never happen, staying is always the easy choice, and good riddance to those who leave. Just a lot of wishful thinking with a side of bitterness.

BUT, I acknowledge that the idea of coming back for one last ride is not crazy at all.

Speaking from experience, yes. You can always make more money.

Jesus. Have we completely forgotten about his rookie year? Sophomore slumps do happen, you know? Could we hold off on the hyperbole for at least one more year?

I mean you basically just compared him to Jamarcus Russell, and that’s fricking stupid.

Well, if he were to suffer a serious injury he certainly wouldn’t be drafted as high. That’s sort of the entire point. And LB is a physical position.

Plus, your post is just common sense. Everyone knows if he stays healthy he will still be drafted high. But that’s not the point. The unknown is what these players have to think about. I can’t blame him either way.

Yeah I’m getting tired of people calling him a bust. The guy got hurt in the first game this year. So I guess this means Guice is a bust as well now?

But guess what KYLE WILLIAMS does have? A BCS NATIONAL TITLE RING with Louisiana State University. I bet when Kyle WIlliams goes to bed each night he looks back at his football career with no regrets, but I bet that BCS Ring has a lot to do with that.

Kyle Williams GOAT, but he was also a 5th round pick.

Comparing his decision to DWs is ridiculous.

And he got that BCS ring in 03, his sophomore year. He ended up in the Peach Bowl his senior year

If anything that shows returning to improve stock isn’t worth it. If you’ve got what it takes, you’ll succeed even if you aren’t taken on the first day.

Another reason to fire Miles. You don’t kill your players in pre season practices.
Are you insinuating Leonard wasn’t really hurt? If so, you’re an arse.

Fournette is from the inner city of NOLA, while Devin White is a country boy from North Louisiana. It is obvious that they were raised differently and there are huge character differences between the two.

Interesting. Definitely makes me appreciate your optimism more.

The latter. Whether or not that catalyst is DW we don’t know, but it’s a different feeling for sure.

And had a better NFL career than Fournette will have.
