You are an idiot. He STILL will miss out on 4-5 mil dollars because he more than likely will not play passed 33, statistically speaking.

How can you say it makes no sense, then say...

Shouldn’t call people clowns. Most of us want all our players to graduate.

And had a better NFL career than Fournette will have.

You're really going out on a limb with that statement LOL. KW played 13 years at DT, at a very high level and never suffered any serious injuries. Pretty sure he's had a better career than ANY RB that has been drafted the last 10 years or that will be drafted in the next 10 years since RB's have short careers, even amongst NFL players at any position.

Hell you could say the same about Elliot, Barkley, Guice, Kamara or any other RB recently drafted.

Valid point. But for some people it isn't JUST the money. When you go pro you leave a team where the atmosphere is about having fun and winning games, team mates etc. When you go pro all of that is left behind and your coach may really really like you but he will trade your commodity arse if it benefits the team.

Just a different environment completely. 2019 season will be the last time that Devin White will ever have the chance to be part of a college football team.

So it may not make sense for Greedy to come back but it obviously makes sense for a lot of players to come back. It just depends on the player and what they want their legacy to be on the college level.

Fans will forever hold up people like Lawrence and White if he returns on a higher pedestal than if they had left early.

And I can say I would have left early had I been offered a job when I was a Jr. in college. My reasoning was that is why I went to LSU in the first place.... to get a job. But looking back now I am so glad I did earn that degree and can say I graduated from LSU. Maybe Devin is more understanding of that aspect as well.

Who knows. I just want him to come back.

So many ranters trying to talk Devin into leaving and convince other ranters that it's a good idea. Curious.

Staying in college is not the Christian thing to do. Do you know how many people he could help by going pro now?

He’ll lose MILLIONS of dollars. Waiting ONE extra year before getting off his rookie contract will prly cost him close to $10M, not to mention he’ll never get one year of salary back regardless.

Devin needs to do what’s best for him. If that’s returning so be it.

Another reason to fire Miles. You don’t kill your players in pre season practices.

I think everyone should shelve the "BASH MILES" shite now. My God people the man won a shite ton of games, multiple SECC's and is 1 OF ONLY 2 Coaches at LSU in the last 60 years to bring our beloved Tigers a fuc×in National Championship. Save the "with Sabans players" BS too cause I DGAF how LSU wins a Natty as long as it gets done and anyone that's a true LSU fan shouldn't either!!

Miles is gone, most fans are happy that he is and maybe there are a handful around that wish he wasn't but anyone associated with LSU needs to respect Miles and give the man props for ALWAYS, even now, loving and repping LSU!! Hell even after being fired in a bumbling, emabarrassing to LSU & Coach Miles but classic Joe Alleva way. It was past time to move on from Miles but the man deserved a better farewell than 2 games into the season, especially after the way Alleva clusterfu×ked the end of the previous season.

1 year playing for free vs that same year making millions and taking care of your family......I'd take the money and buy my mom a house......but he may enjoy college life.

His decision and not anyone else, if he goes pro good and if not good.

One more season income in the NFL is more money than most will make in a lifetime so he is passing up a huge sum of money.

Guess I should have used Glenn Dorsey as a better example.

Did Glenn Dorsey return with a bunch of Seniors and lead LSU to a National tile? YUP!

Did Glenn Dorsey have any significant injuries that season?
YUP!

Did Glenn DOrseys draft stock get affected by that injury?
NO!

Did Glenn DOrsey STILL get Drafted 1st Round?
YUP!

Did Glenn Dorsey have a decent enough career and make more money and any of us on this forum can imagine?
YUP!

Did Glenn Dorsey play in any pro-bowls or win any superbowls?
NOPE!

Does Glenn Dorsey STILL have a Championship Ring to hang his hat on at night?
YUP!

just saying, these guys are football players 1st. You don't get paid in PEE-WEE. You play for the love of the game. You play for your teammates and for your home city. You play for the memories and the trophies and championships. Yes, somewhere along the way if your lucky enough you play for the $$$ and to make a living. But I don't think a guy who spends time riding and taking care of horses for a living is the type of guy to care about $$$. just sayin

Jesus Christ this OP is a maniac.

The average NFL career is something like 5 years. Missing a year and staying is like missing 20% of your career. Even if we say he stays 10 years and is relevant and healthy and does well all of that time, he's missed potentially 10% of his career to stay in school. That's like you missing 4 years of your career. That's a frickload of time and experience you would have missed out on and people who are your contemporaries now would pass you up.

There's more to life than money, but let's not kid ourselves here. Life for an NFL player is not easy and the chance(s) to make life sustaining money are few. He may come back for his own reasons (though I doubt it), but this whole argument, "O, he'd still go pro!!" is full on stupid.

UPVOTE! He will NEVER regret staying and leading by character and example. Devin White is such a class act. He will show that to the NFL coaches when he plays his heart out with love and devotion for his school!

Forever LSU and forever DEVIN WHITE !

He will play in the NFL for "x" number of years. Whether that starts next year or the year after that.. the man will be rolling in the dough for the rest of his life.

doesnt matter. The Jags are paying LF millions of dollars. He should be a professional and play hard with a good attitude.
