Yea, that no hitter through 7 did us really well yesterday.

FYI: It doesn't matter how good you pitch if you can't score any runs.. You can't win 0-0

Taken from another thread:

“86-58 (.597 winning percentage) since losing 2017 CWS championship series (32-28 in SEC)”

Doesn’t look elite to me.

Will you at least agree that LSU baseball (a blue blood program) needs to be much better than they are now?

And are you confident that the current coach can make that happen?

You are a huge idiot if you think coaching changes are made because of clueless morons crying on a message board.

This sounds eerily similar to the “defense wins championships” adage that was trotted out to defend Les for years

Doesn’t look elite to me.

Two seasons is not a big enough sample size. But if you want to talk about the seasons they were not all that bad.

Made super regional last year. only 16 teams do.

2018 knocked out of regional by eventual national champion.

Ill admit we do have to do better than the 2018 season. One of pawls worst teams no doubt.

They’re hitting it hard, they’ll be fine. Just win out until conference play starts next weekend and we’ll be in solid shape going into the Ole Miss series

I agree with good pitching sans a few relievers to not be named.

Since one of your reasons why you think we’re still elite is win totals, in 2019 LSU went 40-26.

LSU baseball needs to be a hell of a lot better than “not all that bad.”

We’ll revisit this at the end of the season (3 seasons is a good sample size) and maybe we’ll pull out of the funk. I hope a turning point happens soon.

LSU can only lose 11 more games if they want to have a 40 win regular season and it’s only the second day of March.

Thats all im really asking of the rant. Yes it sucks to lose but it really doesnt matter all that much at this point. Pawl is known to experiment early. All that matters is SEC play. By the end of the year, youre a national seed. Thats all you can ask for. Pitching is key in baseball and we got it.

It’s because everyone on here is qualified to coach D1 football, basketball, and baseball.

Also, try to not confuse baseball fans with the average Rantard. One will follow and watch baseball no matter what.

The other just comes scurrying out of the woodwork like their direct relatives - cockroach at the first sign of trouble.

The stupid ones melting this early in the season are the dumb fricks that will be gone in a couple weeks if not with the next win. They will evaporate quicker than Rickdaddy after the Alabama win. Poof!!!! Never to be seen again or until the next loss.

Every time there is something to cry about the whiners are the biggest fans ever. Even though you have never seen them before.

It is comical.

So I guess everyone should not ever debate politics, religion, movies, music, art, food, etc because nobody is “qualified” to do those things?

I've been here and will stay here. But this team needs improvement hitting the ball..... But about disappearing, how about you during the Miles years????? I've never seen you post a pic filled thread with miles like you have with O. You have said you were here during that time but never supported Miles like you have O. And now you keep talking about the women's softball team.

Tell the truth for a change. Just day you HATE what Miles did while he was here. It's not that hard.

Anything you’d like to contribute to the actual discussion? This is always your complaint when people derail one of your threads, so how about give a comment on what the OP actually said? It’s a good discussion to have without going off on a tangent about posters you don’t like.

I said LSU should have been rid of CPM after 2014. 2010 get sent to UCLA regional. 2011 don't make regional. 2012 host stony brook in supers and go 1-2. 2013 have best season ever and go two and q in cws and then lose the regionals to Houston after in the winners bracket at home. Miles is a fair comparison. Had early success and won a title then slacked off. LSU has a richer history in baseball than football. So I expect more from them, but I get it nothing is guaranteed and the game is different than from the 90's. I just think some times a change is needed for no other reason than complacency. I think LSU can do better. But what the hell do I know.
