His head is too big for his talent

Who do you think told them the ball had to go to Cam? You could hear him from the sidelines. Smart was there, whoever was on the left was there but Wade told them it had to go to Cam and Texas Tech was waiting for it then jumped it. Besides who designs a press break with no screens and that brings 4 defenders into the backcourt to defend 3 players? 100% on Wade

We’d have to win out and that’s not happening

This has been Wade’s worst job in four seasons. The defense is the most obvious problem (though they were MUCH better today). But he hasn’t handled having multiple “stars” well at all. I think Thomas’s unlimited green light is having a big effect. Particularly on Watford who hasn’t been a great team player because he is trying to compete with his OWN teammate (Thomas) for the attention of the scouts.
He handled it well in 2019 because one of his stars (Waters) was willing to be a facilitator. Now, LSU has two guys who care only about offense competing with each other rather than playing off of each other.
I hate to say it, but I don’t think this is a NCAAT team right now. It’s a team where the individual parts are better than the sum

I agree with everything you said there. I’m not sure where we stand right now as far as post season play goes but on the radio pre game they said we had to win this game or we’re likely done. Now I’m sure if we won out things would change but the radio guys said if we lost today we’d need to win the SEC tourney.

He is definitely inconsistent. I don’t fully understand it either.

If they can win 3 of the remaining games vs. Bama, Tenn, Florida, Arkansas, they will likely sneak in. If not, probably a NIT and the most disappointing team since 2016

Playing that god damned zone for 13.5 games set us back maybe beyond the point of no return. The last 2 1/2 games our D has been lightyears better and if we’d have been playing this D from the get go we’d be fine right now and could’ve absorbed this loss. But he waited too long and it maybe too late.

This one is on the players, specifically Watford! Just lazy

Honestly, Smart should have gotten it. He was absolutely on fire and has straight-up been a better shooter this year. I believe he is 3rd in the SEC in 3-point %, 4th in FG % and even 4th in assists. Tech could not stop him inside or outside. Dude was 57% from 3 and 50% from the field. He had the eye of the Tiger and we let other people touch the ball too much late in the game.

This is straight up Watford’s fault. He can’t keep his mouth shut, it is about his 3rd or 4th Tech for his mouth. He shouldn’t be talking shite when he is a TO machine and he is 2-11. He needs to sit on the bench for a bit until he can realize his poor decisions and his fricking mouth are losing games!!!!
The kid is overrated and totally not ready for the NBA, I can only assume that he keeps getting the shite draft grades and that is why he is coming back but our PR department needs to stop pumping this dude up until he can be humble just a bit!
Pathetic to lose a game like that!!!!!

LOL. fricking dumb arse shite on here. Yeah ok sure moron.
We have 9 for sure games left. 8 season games and sec tourney. You think if we go 7-2 over that span and are sitting at 18-7 we wont be in the tourney? Or 17-8?
We were 20-10 and an 8 seed last year.
You really think the only way we’re in is if we’re 20-5? What would we be a 11 seed in your opinion? fricking imbecile.
We could go 16-9 and potentially sneak in gtfoh.

You’re right and who on this roster has delivered in crunch time before? Only Smart, he had the game where he carried the team on his back and scored 29 to win the SEC his freshman season vs Tennessee with Waters and Wade out. He’s made big shot after big shot this season, the 2 threes to get us by UGA, the big 3s to seal the win vs USC, he hit the shots to get the lead back for us and extend it today. Then what happens down the stretch? Wade takes the ball out of his hands and forces it to Cam who throws up prayer after prayer and refuses to look for open men. There was one play at the end where he had O’Neal by himself right by the basket and wouldn’t pass the ball. Wade wants to force feed Thomas and Watford but Smart and Days are your clutch shot makers.

Yeah, I think Wade focuses too much on feeding Waters and Cam. I don't have a major problem with Cam shooting at the end, but it honestly should have went to Smart. They simply could not stop him today in any capacity.

Leblanc missed free throw
I was forced to listen on radio. My burning question is why was Leblanc allowed to possess the ball at all? Why didn’t it stay in Thomas’ hand as an automatic FT guy at the end?

Sure, Thomas is an outstanding talent but you can’t just let him go wild like he does out there. You have to incorporate what he does into the offense, you can’t have him doing his thing and everybody else playing together. Watford also has issues, he gets into these personal matches and loses focus on the main goal also. By all accounts Smart is the leader on this team. He’s the hardest worker the easiest to coach and the player everyone follows. And as mentioned earlier he’s the only player who’s performed in a meaningful game. He’s not the type of guy who’s gonna take a bunch of shots so there’s no worry that the others would get their touches if the ball is in his hands. You have to have trust in your go to guy.
