This is setting up to be a weird season: SEC fricked

High probability that the athletes will get a favorable ruling today, then the schools will be forced to make a difficult decision on rosters.
If the claims and parties remain past initial exceptions (SEC standing for example) in federal court, there will be pending federal court scheduling orders (they establish them early although they may be far off), that will dictate the way the schools set rosters for the whole year.
Likely that schools get scared to start folks, the athletes will maintain claims against the regulatory bodies (SEC/NCAA), and we hear about this entire legal conundrum through the playoffs.
Point is, get ready to put your big boy pants on and back our university. Believe it or not, we’re doing the right thing.
Geaux Tigers! Lane motha frickin Kiffin!

It’s not just not playing them. The schools, or at least LSU/SEC schools, can’t roster them at all while state appeals and the federal suit are running. Or at least they shouldn’t
To do so would invite a situation where we have these guys on the roster for weeks, appeals decisions pull the rug out from under the injunction, and then the SEC hits us retroactively.
ETA: we could also just cut these two guys loose right now and never have to talk about any of this again.

No doubt. The universities and athletes are all out in no-win situations subject to retroactive penalties while maintaining suits for damages.

Sankey is going to have to hand us the trophy in December.

I like that we’re fighting. Woodward would have bent over so fast once daddy in law placed a call

But I’m here for the chaos. Especially since we are going to dog walk some SEC schools that get pissy at us
