This is how the Clemson game will go

Yes I know.. Clemson finished on a high note last year. Yes I’m aware they return a ton of players. I hear ya.
This game will seem eerily similar to the Texas game in 2019 in my opinion. Except I expect our defense to be tenfold better. I expect the pre-hype and build up to be just as big. Two big name quarterbacks going head-to-head and two coaches looking to prove something.
Looking at recruiting rankings, they’re simply is a large talent gap on these rosters. Not large as in astronomical, but large enough to feel comfortable. Not to mention Debo is the antichrist with the transfer portal.
Clemson fans will be in an uproar hearing the broadcasters say the names of our highly talented transfers make play after play. And reality will set in that you do in fact, have to pay to play with the big dogs.
Now is the time to get on the bus boys.

Dabo finally adapted a little bit to the current stage of college football and actually got some big time transfers to come in. Of course right before they play LSU.
They also have 5-6 guys expected to go first round in the NFL draft next year. There isn’t that large of a talent gap as you think.
This game comes down to defense stepping up for once in a long time and Nuss making good decisions

Clemson has a lot of top talent and will be playing at Home.
BK needs to break the opener slump and win the BIG Game to start the season on a high note. As they lose at Clemson it will most likely be another 9-3 and Cheezits Bowl

They have a number of players that will be going in the top 50 picks.
This game will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes and who has the ball last. BK and his team need to prove they can get out to a fast start or that seat could get real hot in September.

People are placing way too much emphasis on this game.
We have folks saying the season is over if we lose it.
If we win it, we'll have folks saying we're natty bound.

They brought in three transfer players.
The edge from Purdue was basically the only notable guy.

A lot of factors will go into this game
Will this talented but inexperienced playing together O line be ready to block a DL with two projected first rounders in Peter woods and tj Parker ?
Will the cornerbacks (specifically DJ Pickett,Mansor delane , Jackson, stamps ) ready to hold their own in 1 on 1 battles vs a very talented Clemson wr room ?
Will the young puppies on the DL( McKinley, Breaux ) win their interior battles and get some pressure up the middle on Cade while controlling the run ?
Can the edge rushers (reliford, Payton, butler , pyburn). Wreck havoc and make Cade uncomfortable

We will dominate first half but come away empty in red zone. We go into half time with 17-14 lead and will be leading in 4th quarter 27-21 and lose the game in the end 27-35.
This is copy of FSU and USC.
Hopefully and praying I'm wrong. Please win the first game

Look for another season opener loss by BK who is incapable of having his team ready to start the season. More excuses right out of the gate to set the tone for the season.
Clemson has far superior talent in the trenches, WRs and are just as good, if not better, at QB. And the home crowd will be yelling to be the "real" Death Valley.
And yes, 9 -3 looks likely. Vegas has the over/under at 8.5 ad 9 wins is generous.

They also brought in a former 5 star Edge from Bama and a WR that would start at LSU, Tristan Smith.
That’s more than they’ve done in the past 2 years.
Their DL is going to be stout. A DL and Edge expected to go in the top 10 of next years draft and that’s not including the 2 stud Edge’s they got in the portal. That OL better be ready

Both of those guys were rated as 3 star transfers.
Smith also had a sketchy list of suitors for someone you're convinced would start at LSU. Kentucky, FAU, Eastern Michigan, and Arkansas State, among others. Meh.
Looks like 247 ranked them the #126 transfer class, they also lost 8 players to the portal as well.

All I know is ‘I’m going’ and Clemson can ‘suck a duck’.

On paper Clemson has an advantage because while they did finally get some good transfer portal guys they're probably in a better position team wide on chemistry than LSU will be day 1. Talent wise? Debatable. One thing is for sure though, both teams on paper are talented enough for the playoffs.
Just going to reiterate how absolutely dumb it was to schedule this game that early in the season. If you wanted to play someone that good OOC it should've been middle of the season even in SEC. At least you'd have as team by them well acclimated to each other chemistry wise.
You're absolutely foolish to schedule a playoff opponent as your first game into the season when the committee hasn't shown SOC matters yet for playoff births and you have massive roster turnover every year now.

I know this is asking A LOT but LSU fans need to understand we will go there and probably lose by two scores minimum. Brand new offensive line with a stationary qb going against the best dline in the country. Just another bad luck in scheduling where a teams strength happens to be our weak point. Now does this mean mid way through the season we couldn’t beat them once the oline gels?? Of course we can. But new oline. Top tier dline on the road in very hostile crowd. Yeah we have no chance game 1 yet again. Sorry fellas.
Only chance we have is if we can break off several long screen plays for scores to keep the dline on their toes. Yet we don’t throw screens so there’s that.

A playoff matchup 4 months later could go completely differently, but we’re up against it to start our season against them. We’re not underdogs by mistake

Moore and Thompson are the only possible OL saviors. We needed 2 more OL portal transfers, but BK sat on his arse thinking that everything is fine and dandy.

Not believing anything about this team until i see it on the field. Definitely not believing a win in first game of the year until that clock strikes zero. All one has to do is look at opening season results over say last 7 or 8 years to come to my conclusions.

This is where you lost all credibility. A possession WR from FCS that has 6 tds. He had a good year but it was FCS. He was a 3 star transfer.
Nic Anderson was 4 star transfer and averaged 9 more yards per catch. Brown also was a 4 star transfer and averages more ypc than him, Aaron Anderson another 4 star transfer a couple years ago now had a similar year to him as our no 2 guy and in the SEC. Who would this guy start over?
