Prime example was Georgia. When have they ever showed up in a big game?

But the fake one sealed the deal.

Our defense won the game. They showed up big.

14 of FL's points were garbage.

It should have been 1st and goal on the 5. I could just as easily have read a headline

"Referees suck all game! Miss call to give LSU first down. LSU gives them the finger on fake field foal."

He said we escaped followed by saying but we really exerted our will on Florida. Meaning we dominated the game. So I think analysts know we played much better than the score showed.

Also, tell me how Herbie can put out his new top 4 and have LSU as 4 and fricking Bama at 3?

This will all sort itself out in a few weeks. No need to get all worked up by people that rely on making things interesting for their livelihood.

If we had kicked the chip shot field goal, we would have won by 3. The fake made no difference except for getting points and the emotional lift.

It definitely pumped up the defense.

If that was the headline for a huge game I didn't watch, I wouldn't think, "I guess neither of those teams are good." I'd think, "Oh, that's exciting, I hope they show that highlight soon. Maybe I should just go to ESPN.com to watch it."

Also if we kicked the field goal Florida would have went for a shorter pass on that third and long to put themselves into field goal range. The game would have completely changed if we only kicked a field goal.

I like how Her or was talking about the "loss test." Basically just excuses that Bama has lost to a not so good Ole Miss team at home. I don't remember exactly what he said, but it was basically that that loss didn't matter.

A muffed punt. And both defenses not showing up.

It's literally how we won the game.

Because the other touchdowns didn't play a part in winning the game.

It is quite literally 1/5th of the points scored to win the game by LSU

Exactly. For the college football fan that was watching another game, that headline drives them to ESPN.com to see what happened.

It's surely more interesting than "LSU beats Florida thanks to stifling run defense".

Not sure if you caught the game last night, but LSU beat 8th ranked Florida and is the only undefeated team in the conference.
I did. And I was replying to a question about Alabama and Herbie's rationale, not addressing LSU's performance against a very good team. We're in the mix, but I guess that's not enough.

These are the To

I guess I'm just wondering how, according to Herbie, Alabamas win against a lower ranked AM team puts them above LSU who beat a higher ranked Fla team.

You see where I'm going with this? The talking heads are trying to convince themselves that Bama is the better team already

Because Bama is playing really, really well.
Yeah, giving up special teams TDs like we do and committing penalties out the wazoo, going away from the run when it's clearly working.

There's no dominant team this season, and LSU is just as dominant as anyone.
