So if Orgeron beats two top ten teams but loses a close nail biter to State or the Aggies, that’s three losses, should coach O be fired?

Pardon me for answering a question with a question...but what is our objective at LSU? Is it to knock off a couple of teams we're underdogs to, or be the favored team and win titles?

If we are, once again, a three loss team we are almost certainly not winning the SECW, which means all legitimate goals are not met.

How many seasons of unmet goals will we have to have before we decide he is not the man to reach them? Or...do we simply keep shifting the goals to make them easier to reach, thereby making him "successful" here?

If LSU beats two top ten teams this year losing only 3 games, expect them to be ranked higher and expect 3 losses not to be good enough in 2019 for Orgeron.

Ok...I'll play.

So, he goes 9-3 in 2018 and you cream your pants and he gets 2019.

In 2019 he goes 10-2 with losses to 2 SECW teams and once again sits home the first week of December.

He's still the coach in 2020 in this scenario, right? I mean, feel free to let us know if that would make you want to move on.

That would then be a 6-2 run to close out 2016, 9-4 in 2017, 9-3 (bowl game unknown) for 2018 and 10-2 (bowl game unknown) for 2019.

I remember the mantra "nothing to show for it" being big around here a few years ago. Does that still hold true in this case?

You have more invested in O than you do LSU.

I’m an alum. I expect more.

Nawww, I donated a lot of work to LSU over the years, when I didnt have much back then when it really hurt to give away your time and effort. So stop with that BS.

If Orgeron doesn’t make LSU a contender, he’s gone! I’m being a man if my word, 2018 is his time to prove it.

Sadly I don't think 10 wins is the minimum for his chance to be here long term....8 wins is where he can be and most likely not get touched by admins.

LoL...Ed Orgeron is a clown and a pitiful head coach. This wont change. He wont make it thru 2019 after this year's failure.

Was Les fired for not winning championships or too many 7 and 8 win seasons?

Wow. You must have just recently started following the football program. Miles never had a 7 win season at LSU and only had two 8 win seasons in his 11 full years as head coach.
