This 2018 LSU football season will truly define where the BS is.

For the TEAM, yes I agree. But, that's not what Spears said. He was comparing the QB situations over the recent past.

Dont get the comparisons, LSU recruited great QBs who later played in the NFL, LSU won championships over the last 20 years, and this decade with Burrow and Brennan may finally be returning to the greatness we expect and demand from LSU.

why the hell would I enjoy the disparaging of our QBs and our football program? I am all for us flying under the radar or being a sleeper team, but the outright disrespect we've gotten lately in the media is atrocious and I think "enjoy" was a shite word to choose.

It'll be the sweetest because it will bring back the true magic of Tiger Stadium, a raucous and roaring atmosphere for every LSU game, not just the Alabama's.

Also, not to be a nega ... but how do you know this? Have you been to Tiger Stadium lately? Our fans leave during the 3rd quarter for conference games, winning or losing. I'd love to "bring back the true magic" but the only thing that will solve that will be winning.

Judge the program after this year, after this schedule. I’m giving Coach Orgeron no excuses, I’m just giving him this year!

How many lame duck years do we need before we can actually play some damn football?

Cleveland had a similar QB in Josh McCown as far as putting up stats to Mettenberger and they Hoyer who is similar to Etling. They also had the rookie from ND (his name escapes me right this second) that was similar to Jefferson. In the last 10 years, it's a very good comparison.

QB evaluation and/or development was an issue under the last regime (despite some impressive stats by 1 or 2 QBs.

Hopefully that changes under this regime. We will see.

The one year OC stint probably didn't help that any either. I don't believe that Ensminger was allowed much input under Miles, so IMO the jury is still out on how well he's going to develop the QBs.

Kizer from ND.

Tyrod Taylor is starter for now.

Yes. Kizer. Thanks. Browns QB situation is the best it's been in some time right now. Sounds a lot like LSU, doesn't it?

Kizer always seemed a little over-rated to me.

Agreed.Definitely some similarities there. Will be interesting to see how things play out.

Nice try but doesn’t fly. Still no excuse or reason to compare LSU and Cleveland.

Was Les fired for not winning championships or too many 7 and 8 win seasons?

He had no 7 wins seasons and two 8 win seasons over 11 years.

It was always next year with CLM supporters also. What's your point? Any normal fan says "next year is our year". It's called being a fan. Complaining like a bitch is pathetic and what a lot of losers here do best.

So if Orgeron beats two top ten teams but loses a close nail biter to State or the Aggies, that’s three losses, should coach O be fired?

Does he win the bowl game?

9-4 wouldn’t get him fired but I don’t think he can go 3.75 seasons with out winning 10 games.

Right. We always play 4 of the top 10 teams.
