re: This aTm game should be the deciding factor for us all with Coach O.

No it's not.
I was not a fan of the O hire, but even I understand you have to let new coaches have a couple years to get their culture instilled and make it their program.
The only decent point in your post is the 10 win season comment and even then, we all know this program is headed in the right direction.
The Troy and Moo State loss were bad, but anyone with half a brain can tell the culture has changed since then and this is a different team.

We would essentially be what we were when everyone was screaming for Miles’s head.
Except for the fact that you can see the effectiveness and what Canada's offense wants to do. The players might not execute it, but if you watch the plays, they are well setup and they are designed to create mismatches. The issue with Miles was never the W/L only. It was the W/L in combination with the inability to evolve on the offense that ultimately gave the perception that LSU had hit it's ceiling and everyone else was passing us up. This coaching staff is getting the same results under a 1st year head coach and 1st year offensive coordinator and the offense is potentially more explosive. I am interested to see Canada's offense with a QB who has been in it a year or two and is accurate.
Before anyone passes judgment on Coach O, let's see how the team finishes the season and how the recruiting class goes. In reality CFB is about out-recruiting your competition and then making sure they don't get complacent during the season. If you disagree, look at Miss St. Mullen is a good coach, but their best years are still 2-3 losses while their worst are 6-7 losses.
I think the way this team has bounced back after the start it had basically cancels out the bad start from a coaching standpoint. The coaching job this staff has done since the Troy loss is pretty outstanding considering the trajectory of the program afterward. Now this team could potentially finish top 15.

I don’t see this team with their coach with one foot out the door coming into our place tmr night and winning though

his seat needs to stay hot until he proves that he was worth firing Miles over.

So beating only 4 teams with winning records in 2 years is enough for you to give him unconditional support?
How far have LSU fans lowered the bar for O. This is getting ridiculous.

totally agree....
One loss does not disqualify a coach, nor does a victory qualifies him either.
look at our BB team beating Michigan and then .....
neither that win, not the losses say much about Wade ...
TIME WILL TELL.
the same with Coach O

Remember, Coach O is not even a factor. He doesn't even need to wear a headset during games. As a player, I'd never take him seriously. This is why you'll see our recruiting rankings drop from the sky for the coming years.

Many of you (including the OP) apparently haven't been around long enough to understand the time it takes to evaluate head coaches.
LSU's history since Coach Mac was let go (I at LSU then) teaches us that it will take between 2 and 4 years to pass judgement on Coach O. The history:
Stovall= fail after 2 years
Arnsbarger= success after 2 years
Archer= fail after 3 years
Hallman= fail after 2 years -mistake to keep him around!
Dinardo= fail after 4 years -too loyal to assistant
Saban= success after 2 years
Miles= success after 2 years -first 3 years had 35 wins! His positive run lasted another 7+- years.
We'll know about Orgeron this date in 2019. Sorry, it takes time.

One victory against a team with a winning record. This is weak.

I wonder how many here are the same person as they were many years ago.
That's where experience comes from .. failures.
I will tell you in 2-3 years.

Fortunately, LSU is not Old Ms.
Your point is valid and is more telling on the athletic director's performance during his coaching search (i.e., lack of).

Which is why you don’t hire someone who has proven that he can’t do the job in the past.

No, we already know. Some of you just won’t admit it for at least a couple of years.

O is supposed be a great recruiter, yet the 2018 class is looking so-so.

Maybe because LSU "fans" are broadcasting to recruits that we have a joke for a coach, the worst ever. Gee, wonder why they wouldnt want to come here.

Right. It’s our fans’ fault.
