But why is the "program in rebuild" in year 4?

And Vandy really didn’t have much last year but still made the tourney. The one thing these guys miss is that playing good basketball wins a lot of games but they don’t know what they is so they blame peripheral things and make stuff up.

First two years undrer cloud of NCAA investigation. Year two was a marked jump from year one. Then lost top returning players and scorers for the season in year three. Year four started promising then lost possible ALL SEC point guard and skilled experienced forward for second season in a row.

Sorry Jalen you have been McDowngraded again

“Most important player on the team”

“2nd most important player on the team.”

“Best bench player.”

“Skilled experienced forward.”

Dude…McMahon finished 16/16. A nepo-hire at Auburn finished 4 spots higher in his first year. Miller has Texas in the Sweet 16 in year 1. Year 1 of Bucky Ball at aTm, tied for 4th.

You idiots that harp on these injuries suck. It’s the 4th season…he’s had time to build things with a little depth.

You really want that extra 20% Mrs. McMahon. Was year 2 when LSU got waxed in the NIT by North Texas in the PMAC?

Marked jump, 5-31 in the SEC since. 31 losses. 5 wins. 31 losses.

Sure is a lot of McXcuses you got there.

Eta: the problem I have with McMahon is that there seems to have been no improvement in 4 years. Setbacks are one thing, they happen to everyone, but there has been absolutely zero progress.

Winners find a way to win. Simple as that. He has had plenty of time to adapt but the product has gotten worse with time. I harness no hate for the guy as a human, but he hasn't delivered and the program is moving backwards more every year with him running it.

I'm pretty sure it's just that guy above. He must know him irl or something because he constantly defends him. Most ridiculous thing I've seen. Nobody denies he's probably a good guy but that doesn't make him a good coach.

Imagine digesting this information and believing 24% needs more time and resources and 63% is just a bum

This! The tigers were in a lot of ballgames till late or lost in the last minute. Win a couple and the excuse of “no reed and Thomas” may be viable.
A&M by 3 on the road
Kentucky at the buzzer
Arkansas by 4 on the road
Texas by 3 on the road
A&M at home by 3 in 3ot

That’s 5 games with in 1 or 2 possessions. There’s other games we were in till late. The blow outs at home where we were favored change the narrative of ( we play tough just missing a piece).
Something has to change or the expectation will be the same.

Bruh. 3 SEC wins in year 4. How does that not clarify the situation for you?

In year 4, it would have been palpable for key injuries to cause a couple of extra losses that kept you out of the tournament or whatever. But that's not a viable excuse for being the worst program in the league.

MM simply isn't the guy. Time to move on, to tGeneral or whomever can win more than 3 in the league next year.
