The last couple of months on this board has shown otherwise. Good to see.

It wasn’t when I was in school or the late 70’s through early 90’s or early / mid 2000’s. What happens is there is a lull because another program explodes like Football did or baseball in the 90’s.

People care, trust me.

If you win, they will come.

It’s a bullshite cop out. If the bball team consistently wins, people will show up. The same applies to any other LSU major sport.

Just because every a-hole with a TD account decides to chime in on LSU basketball doesn't mean they give a shite.

Yep, gauging anything by this boards is probably a fool's play

A lot of folks with less than 1000 posts.

I really wish you were wrong about this.

I would also say that 50 threads with the same 20-30 people chiming in all the time, and maybe a quarter of those going back and forth for 10 pages (guilty, unfortunately) isn't really evidence of widespread support of a sport.

Basketball took a big hit when football went to seat licensing, that sucked a lot of $$$ up. There is only so much sports entertainment money available in this market.

LSU is many things. Cheap? Not one of them.

100 people can seem like thousands on boards like this.

Believe me as someone who has tried dozens of times over the last 20 years to have the LSU basketball game turned on at several different BR bars/restaurants that cater to sports and been asked "what game", I can tell you without question it's limited. Happened so many times I've lost count.
