I’d be fine with Ensminger if we had a head coach worth a crap.

Sad thing is, I'd probably rather him as head coach over the current.

It is desperation. Coach O is effectively calling the offense LULz.

this is dumb

1. So if E is a terrible OC, you'd be ok with it if we had a good HC? thats fricking dumb

or

2. If E is great, you are not fine? because a great OC/DC is not enough to over come O?

some of yall are damn schizo

The point is that it doesn’t matter who Saban, Meyer, Belechek etc have as coordinators.
You win and lose with the head coach.

Yep Saban can play musical chairs with assistants. It's the head coach's show, process etc. Saban is a wizard it. There are other good-great coaches that have good-solid assistants, but at the end of the day it's the HC. Why the whole O surrounding himself with great coordinators smoke and mirrors scheme was a hysterically awful used car sales pitch that sadly sold the LSU fan base particularly south of I-10. As awful as the concept was it still was never going to overcompensate for O sucking at head coach.

Why a good P5 program must hire they best coach they can with money and resources they have or face the situation that LSU is in with inevitably changing head coaches and starting the whole process of changing the staff and systems. Continuity never gets established.

Ensminger will be the scapegoat before the end of the season. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I'm fine with it. He should have done it last year if that's really what he wanted.

It either works or he's gone. As long as works is defined as 10-12 regular season wins every year with no exceptions, I'm perfectly fine with either scenario.

People make mistakes. Orgeron has met his quota with me. He's here at least this next season, so let's see what he's got now that he's got all his guys in place. No excuses.

Exactly what I said. Zero and Ponasmky used coercion to get Ensminger to take the OC gig. now Slick Eddie will eventually throw Steve under the bus and out to the pasture. That man doesn't deserve that but I don't see how Steve doesn't' see the obvious unless he does and just says fook it.

No way. If or when this goes south to the point that people are getting fired, it's gonna be Ed's head that rolls.

unless next year is a complete disaster, i.e. only 2 or 3 wins, then Orgeron is here two more seasons- as long as Aleva is still around- and I’m pretty sure he will be.
