We have every reason to believe that if it’s best for LSU to retain Dave Aranda, than Woodward and CEO will do everything they can to make sure that happens.

If that doesn’t work I say we all pitch in for a billboard

Thank God for Woodward and couldn’t imagine having Joe Alleva here.

Why would Aranda do this now if all times . If nothing else lie and say I’m here to win a championship!

I think he's smarter than to go to UNLV.

It was all a masterfully designed plan to get us to where we are today. On the brink of restoring order!

When told by their boosters that he had unlimited budget and their blessing to use it.

Woodward would not have given him that deal if he were the LSU AD trying to get him in BR. He wouldn’t have to.

He knew he had to gamble the farm to get him to come to College Station.

We'll forever thank him for that.

You’re such a fricking clown. What better coach can you get to go to A&M? Please tell me. That was an amazing hire.

He’s a west coast guy, this could be all about getting close to his roots, and becoming a HC, but the timing is poor.
This does say UNLV is focusing attention on him, but what are his motives. Is he just leveraging that for more $?
He’s tired of everyone talking about the offense and saying nothing about the defense, plus with the new offensive scheme his job is a lot harder now.

I thought he was a lot smarter than that. Hell , he could be at a much better gig than UNLV . Does he need a raise ?

If he wants to leave for fricking UNLV then let him leave. DCs will be waiting to replace him.

When your bosses tell you “do what you have to in order to get this done. You have an unlimited budget,” and Jimbo says “it’ll take 75 million over 10 yrs guaranteed,” you do what your fricking bosses told you to do.

Aranda’s a great coach. And he has brought some great schemes to Tiger Stadium.
But I can’t help but wonder if even the players will be disappointed about it if he leaves.
My reason is because LSU is KNOWN for having a very physical defense that plays with a LOT of swagger and attitude.
And while Dave Aranda has brought a lot of smarts to the defensive side of the ball and schemed teams well.. our stats as an overall defense have gone down gradually every year, and our defense has lost SOME of its physicality that it used to play with and its lost a LOT of that swagger and attitude we’ve always had.
I don’t necessarily want him to leave.. but I’m my opinion he’s not the best fit for LSU.
His personality and mentality are not anywhere near Coach O’s. Or Joe Brady’s for that matter.
Orgeron, Brady, and even Ensminger are fierce competitors. With tons of grit and swagger. And Aranda is like a calm quiet “kill you with kindness” type of guy.
I think it’d be a breath of fresh air for the coaches, players and fan base to get a guy in here that’s gonna feed that desire our players have to play with swag and pure tenacity.

If this is a money grab , it sure as hell would piss me off if I was the AD, This could be done after your Coach of the year and team wins the National Championship !
