Shocked that players are floating out “offers” just days after reports that LSU is going to spend a ton on NIL for next years squad

Yes. The paradox is that Chest would only play 10 minutes a game on any team that could afford to pay him $1 million. So they would never pay that.

If chest was to make a deal while still here McNuggets is a tard if he doesn’t kick him off the team. You don’t throttle down his playing time you kick him off if he has agreed to go elsewhere in the middle of the season. If MM wanted to earn some respect he would name the coach and team that offered a kid mid season.

They probably want to go to a program where they can develop their game. This regime develops nobody. That is due in part to their inability and due in part that they rely on Louisiana natives who have only one year of eligibility and/or mid major players.

It wouldn’t shock me if Vyc Miller bolted. He’s a player that could explode under real coaching. He originally committed to Oregon so that is something to keep in mind.

The Ward saga is still a mystery to me. Very odd how that all went down and like many other issues, McMahon has been able to skate by on not addressing it.

This program is in need of wholesale leadership changes. Anyone can see the current version is not working (and has no plan). I hope Ballchamp’s post from another thread is accurate that says there’s still a possibility of a change.

The unintended consequences of what diabetic AD did in his little media stunt.

Strong disagree. Chest is a double double guy if he plays 30+ mpg on a team with a good lead guard.

Pretty sure he is sitting more because of back spasms that had him miss a game recently. But sure... it is because of some bs rumor you are trying to start.

There will be more money thrown at Collins than Chest. Collins is starting to develop his game with the 3 and the mid range jumper. Anyone paying that kind of money for chest, good luck.

And anyone who doesn't think that both Millers and Collins have been developing is just an ignorant hater. Givens still has a ways to go but is better than he was at the beginning of the year. If MM can keep these guys and add his 2026 class and go get a couple of SEC caliber PG and shooting guards and another Big to compliment Reed and a hopefully stronger BMiller, they will have the talent to move up the SEC. This team is literally Reed and a true SEC PG away from 5-6 more wins. It's MM job to get it there by next year or find someone else who can.

Sears was considered a highly coveted transfer recruit. Is he not an SEC caliber PG? Is McMahon not developing him or was our assessment incorrect? Let me guess: it’s the recruiting rankings system’s fault.

Reed is a good player but the McMen talk like he’s 1991 UNLV Larry Johnson.

You know what the real issue is. You’ll come to that realization soon enough.

I like chest but there will be better player available for that kind of money. He may be great in a better system but I doubt a coach with a job on the line isn't playing his best players

Chest would thrive in a system like Houston or A & M . He was recruited hard out of high school by Houston and also is from New Orleans and went to the same prep school as Chris Cenac . Wouldn’t surprise me to see them come after him

However, there is concern going into next season. Year 1 he could probably sell as a "write off". Year 2 LSU showed notable improvement in SEC play (not OOC play) which could provide some momentum going into year 3. Unfortunately, the program has regressed badly back to Year 1 futility.

This team is far better than the team he had in year 1. That team was getting blown out by average teams. This team is competitive against good teams. This team would've fared much better facing the SEC from 2 years ago. I also think it has regressed from last year, but only because it lost its top 2 returning players. With Reed and Ward, this team would've won a few more games this year, but the SEC is far better this year than it was last year, so it still wouldn't have broken even. It will be interesting to see how the apparent status of CMM will affect his ability to attract transfers and keep the best of the current roster. The increased NIL will help offset that.

Ward shot 41% from 3 last year and he apparently fell out of McMahon's rotation before this year.

Chest is a good rebounder, he has absolutely zero offensive game outside of dunking. R. Miller is light years ahead of him offensively. Miller looks like a young Tim Duncan, tons of upside.
