This has been a pretty consistent trend in his tenure here. shite we had media members saying we couldn’t afford House’s buyout 2 days ago

That is a good thing and should be the standard. Everybody wants to be somebody with sources but Kelly as an outsider has done a very good job of nipping that in the bud.

Kelly knows his future was on the line if he kept the current staff in-place and hoped they could turn it around in 2024.

for sure, but guys like AA for the Braves have shown you can set a standard where keeping your mouth shut is beneficial for the team/program as well as the coach/player and his agent.

Oh, I am not saying that there aren't tighter lips than what previous administrations had but there are still insiders and leaks. Information has to get out to recruits, coaches, agents, etc.
You just don't have slapdicks like Ponamsky in the program running out to text people in media to stay relevent.

I think it's the difference between ponamsky types and controlled leaks. the latter is obviously more strategic and a lot of times, necessary.
