A lot of teams regress against Bama. We can't keep judging all coaches just based how they do against saban

When they are in your division and THE primary roadblock to your ultimate goal as a program, you absolutely HAVE to judge your coach/program against Bama. Otherwise, you are essentially saying we are happy being second best.

With you 100%. I wasn't an O fan but this could be a great move. It's already working out well by getting rid of some of our shitty fans.

Lol. "geting rid of shitty fans." i love it.

You hit the nail on the head. His teams will feed off that passion. Everyone seems to want an offensive or defensive guru. In a head coach, I'll gladly take a people guru, someone who knows how to get the last bit of effort out of his players.

And almost without exception, the team that works relentlessly and gives maximum effort, will win.

Why capitalize proper places and names but not the start of a sentence?

Yeah but it sucks to constantly be dependent on both coordinator hires

At least with urban you can eclectic great offense regardless of OC

Or with Saban great defenses regardless of DC

We constantly have to hit right on both because we have a DL coach

We are Right back to where we were

This blows

Hitting on the right OC is more of a crapshoot than a HC IMO

I remember fans wanting Enos as OC and some still do

Yet he laid an egg this year and is crap

Many OC hires look good at first and turn to straight crap

Sucks we are dependent on both hires and they leave often now

Hard to constantly hit on both

Kiffin is not impressive at all

Alabama is ridiculously stacked and they actually may be relieved to see him and O

Yup I'm tired of the excuses did the coach fumble the ball

I'm tired of lovable coaches who don't scheme

But whatever

Geaux LSU

People always melt in the beginning but wind up coming around

I guess that's good

I was excited for a new regime but left feeling more of the same

Hope to be wrong

Great points. Disappointed that the coaching search ended like this, but I'll still support Coach O and the Tigers. .

Second best to the greatest coach and franchise in college football is pretty okay man. We re not Ricky bobby. This is just entertainment. These are college kids playing a children's game.

This at best case we win a oc, at worst we are loaded for the next coach.

I always advocated for O to get a fair shake. Then we lost to bama and he was behind Jimbo and Herman. Then Uf came and I felt he should be behind fleck.

Once we lost out on Jimbo and Herman I wanted a national search with O still given a shot. My main issue is Joe fricking stuff up.

However O had already made good changes. They weren't perfect but it was progress. Now he gets his oc and we will see what happens. I'm behind O 100 percent despite hating how Joe botched this.

That's just not true.

People view it as "spending" all this money, but it's really an investment. The better a team is, the more money they generate for their programs.

Leaving often isn't a bad thing. It makes LSU the job to go to advance your career. This gets us the best and builds a big network for when we need a head coach
