LSU and Alabama.

IMO Alabama beats Oklahoma St. And of course I think LSU would as well.

As much as I was hoping for an LSU-Oklahoma St matchup in the BCS championship game, at the end of the day I think the system worked this year in that it matched the two best teams against one another for all the marbles.

Thoughts?

Agree. LSU and Bama are in a class by themselves. I think those arguing for OSU are just worried about the rematch and if LSU were in Bama's spot would be for playing again.

I agree with you...but you are about to get attacked by a pack of wolves (who seemed scared shitless that we have to play bama again).

How in the hell do people use the NFL argument when arguing the bcs NC???

NFL has a playoff...cfb doesn't. It's not even close to the same.

the two best teams are in the game.

okie st was more deserving of the game, imo, but that's not what the bcs is supposed to do.

My thing is even if you think OSU should have been in, it's not like it was obvious. Both Bama and OSU have themselves to blame for not winning out. It's hard for me to feel bad for anyone involved.

Agree 100%...

Go and read the thread someone made apologizing to Oklahoma state. I made that exact same point and get blasted for it. It's OSU's fault they lost a game. If they beat Iowa state they are in and bama isn't in the discussion.

Only teams that's owed an apology, if anyone, is LSU for having to go through a tougher road than bama to get to play them again....and even then I don't think we were treated unfairly. We won a damn sec championship and bama didn't!!! That's a pretty big deal.

well that's interesting

Fortunately, we don't need your opinion to know what happened on the field November 5.

I agree...... just saving time from a plus one... LSU beats Stanford and Bama beats Okie Lite.

Wanted Okie Lite in the BCSMNC game because I could have chilled and watched another beat down for the title.

If LSU brings their best game with somewhat of a passing attack we will be fine.

Anyone who has a bit of common sense and understands football realizes Bama is a better team than OSU. LSU and Bama are in a class by themselves this year, just the way it is. Lots of folks lost their common sense when they saw a potential rematch coming.

My thoughts are worthless, but I will share them anyway. I believe OK State earned a spot in the NC Game. Alabama did not. I also believe OK State would have beaten LSU in the NC Game. Alabama, on the other hand, was the beneficiary in its last game against LSU of LSU's worst performance of the year. LSU will beat Alabama by at least 20 in the Superdome.

Trust me. No one will care that we won the SEC championship that year if we lose to Bama in the BCSNG.

The only problem I have with this reasoning is that Oklahoma State clearly had the superior body of work and a tougher schedule. If this stuff doesn't matter, then why wasn't Houston ranked #2 before their conference championship game?
