Is the complete and utter ignorance of the posters on this board suggesting that Brennan should be benched after his first collegiate start and this particular performance.

The kid deserves more than one game to prove himself.

He should get the first half next week and the 2 and 3 split the 2nd half

Agreed. He looked weak but hey, busy first game in the spotlight as a starter. Gotta cut him some slack. Tough crowd here.

He harped all offseason that he was ready and it was his team blah blah blah. Sat for four years..

He probably knows the offense just fine, but has no confidence (see LES MILES QBS).

IMO, see what Max and TJ have and get them reps for next year. Yeah I know its only one game in.. but the alternative is to start a true sophmore with no experience next year.

I would also argue that the posters that have been propping up Brennan for the last 3 years were a bigger problem.

Even before yesterday, dude has never looked consistently good when he has gotten on the field, yet this offseason, everyone was ignorantly believing he was just going to pick right up where the best player in LSU history left off.

Agreed and I’ll be the first to call for is benching but we’ll need to see a little more before that happens.

Or, just hear me out, Brennan shows some improvement after his first collegiate start and is LSU’s qb in 2020 and 2021. Crazy thought, I know.

No one thought he would be Burrow. Give him more than one game to show he can be adequate. Bo Nix sucked arse last year but looked a lot better yesterday.

Defense didn’t do him any favors. That being said, he needs to be way more decisive if he wants to lead this team to any kind of decent season

This has gotta be the crowd that didnt want anything at all to do with DKing this offseason because Brennan deserved his shot. If he's not lighting up Vandy by Halftime can we please see what someone else brings then?

His WRs didn't do him many favors either with their drops.

You eliminate the drops & the Tigers win with lots still to improve but a better behaving rantard population.

Lol no one is white knighting him crazy.

He has experience and knowledge that should make him the best possible candidate. And I believe in best player playing. But if the guys (other QB) don't know the plays then isn't that almost a default start for brennan. So if brennan isnt progressing and getting better then it's time to open competition back up. But to say that rn after his first game starting in 4 plus years and say I told you so or say he is trash or say we need to put in a true freshman and season is a wash LMFAO get real.. buncha yo yos

Brennan is our QB for the foreseeable future. If he doesn't have it I imagine we start rotating in the backups as soon as we get in a pickle and need a change of pace or we have a good lead and can afford to spread the playing time out.

But common y'all need to be realistic

There were threads in the offseason saying he would.

Not many, but they existed.

Beyond that, everyone just assumed he was going to be good even though there was really no evidence from the past that said so.

27/46, 345 yards, 3 TDs, 2 Interceptions all while running for his life due to lack of blocking. He held the ball too long at times but it wasn’t a terrible first game.
