The thing that is frustrating currently with the DB's

is knowing that Brian Kelly is going to go back to this same formula of getting Avg db's from smaller schools in the portal to compete against these guys for starting time next year. I do see he has a few DB recruits committed but we need a stud Safety that can come in and play right away and it's safe to say he is currently not on this team. Right now the standard of Jamal adams, Delpit, badger etc.. back there is nowhere to be found. There is plenty of top talent at DB down in the southeast its time LSU gets back to getting it.

We've got talent all across the db room. What we don't have is good coaching. Denver Harris and Sage Ryan are all everything talents. All or nothing players.

He’s just not a good recruiter. What’s scarier is that the d line will be thin next year. The defense may be all time awful next year

Jordan Jefferson is the only DL that they are losing. Why do people keep saying this?

Mingo may leave , based on his size he may not be able to improve his draft grade. Everyone assumed Smith would leave but as of now that would be a big mistake. It's TBD who comes back on the DL

I don’t think he wants to hit the portal every year. Our DB room was a shite show when he got here and it’s taken awhile to replenish.

They key is to scour FCS schools for Louisiana boys that LSU didn't want out of high school.

The thing that is frustrating about our DB’s is that they can’t cover shite.

No, this is coaching mixed with some lostness in the secondary. I don’t know why our DBs DONT TURN AROUND AND MAKE A PLAY ON THE BALL. If you want to beat LSU get a QB to under-throw the ball to a receiver on a go route and it will be Pass Interference everytime

Denver Harris and Sage Ryan were both 5 stars in HS.
Deuce Chestnut, Andre Sam (at Mcneese) and Zy Alexander were both 1st team all conference players. Major Burns was and is an average player, but he transferred from the top program in the country.
We’re either getting guys who are ranked very highly by talent evaluators or guys who have excelled at the place they were at. This is a false narrative.
I would like to see our recruiting on defense pick up a bit though.

Can't cover and can't tackle, other than that they're fine. Arky had wide open receivers running thru our secondary all night long. Another minute on the clock and hogs win with time to spare. Our DB's are lost.
