But I could see the staff looking at options and hoping Rivers as a guy who's been in the program would be better than a freshman.

Then why wasn't he the backup last year?

Heck, we did it before when we started Hatch over freshman J Lee in 2008. Hatch was bad but a better option potentially than Lee. So there's precident

No because Lee was always behind Hatch until that Auburn LB killed him. Jennings was basically always in front of Rivers.

Andrew Hatch and Marcus Randall say hi.

First, did you see the one game Hill played? Oh my. Second, I might give you Hatch but MR was much better than AJ. He actually had some big games just inconsistent.

hence AJ coming in for Mett in the AR game and getting the start at Iowa. But, things change in the offseason too.

Lets hope they do this offseason.

Wrong. Hatch is by FAR the least talented QB to ever suit up and play significant minutes for the Tigers. He made Jennings' arm look like a cannon. He was fast and was smart, but had a wet noodle for an arm.

I'll give you that Randall was better. However, he is the ONLY QB I'm aware of to spend 4 or 5 years with Jimbo Fisher and not improve one damn bit. He made Josh Booty, Stan Heath, and Patrick Nix into viable SEC starters. So, I grade Randall down on the curve.

I heard thats also why Dupree and Quinn disappeared later in the season: They backed Harris in some sort of confrontation in the locker room following Arky. Could be BS though.

How can Harris redshirt now? He's played. That makes no sense, but hope the rest is true. Maybe Alleva is a gump mole.

Good. maybe they will stick together and develop chemistry. That's what it took for Mett/OBJ/Landry towards the end of 2012 (Moffitt of all people had them catching 100 balls every morning)

You don't know shite....I'll tell you from first hand knowledge that rivers couldn't start for most conference usa teams. I watched him several times in practice and to put it lightly he wasn't "sec caliber". Think it was a miles problem, look at his stats at Vandy this year. If you're telling the truth, I'm scared shitless of our ability to judge talent.

He played in two. The first was at UF in 94. I was actually at the UK game when he started. Booty was hurt and they didn't want to burn Tyler's redshirt. They couldn't do it fast enough after that game. I didn't count Hill because he only started the 2 games. But you are right. He's right there at 1B with Hatch.

UK was so bad, too. It was their homecoming , and the fans were leaving in droves at the half to gets seats at Rupp for Midnight Madness.

And those damn purple pants....... We picked the wrong game to road trip 13 hours (lots of stops) to.

As for Randall, see my response above. He was Jimbo's only notable failure.

I'm sure everyone is always on board and the locker room is a sanctuary 24/7.

So you saw Melvin Hill play? I saw Hatch and Hill. Not close. I think they even changed Hills position after he came in and played one game. Absolutely horrid.
