I'm really surprised there wasn't two fouls on that play, one for horse collar tackle and the other for hitting the QB who was obviously going out-of-bounds (or is this only in the pros?). I really thought that Aggie was going to get ejected after that play.

Just watched the play and replay again. Madubuike dives for Burrow (who is acting as a runner on the play) while Burrow is inbounds and grabs Burrow's collar. Madubuike also grabs Burrow's legs inbounds. Flag thrown. Obviously a penalty, but nothing dirty. Madubuike had 2 TFL and 1.5 sacks. He's a beast.

Cheaper shots on Burrow were available for A&M if they intended to injure him

Agreed.

aTm was NOT on a hit mission. it was an early/anxious play will no mal intent. hand placement can get squirrelly in game speed.

the aTm defender is actually a gamer.

Joe kicked his legs sideways or slid me sideways. Very smart last 2nd decision from what I saw. Kid just so cool under pressure even in that situation

He was running around pre game with his jersey up and his one little leg sleeve. Jumping around acting a damn fool while every other player on their team knew shite was bout to get bad. He was acting like a bitch from the start. I'm pretty sure he had another penalty as well, and got tangled up with Magee away from the play on another occasion.

Suspend them for an entire season and fine the school $1,000,000 then see how long it continues.

Super dangerous play for Joe. I was at the game so I didn't realize how close that was. when watching the replay my heart stopped...

Joe is a tough durable dude

LSU has had players flagged for a horse collar tackle this season as well. Are we dirty and trying to hurt the other team? Probably not. Sometimes it’s just guys playing hard and running full speed and committing a foul without meaning to injure.

I think it was dirty...why wouldn’t he just push him out of bounds...he was almost out already...no reason to tackle him like that
BTW—I didn’t think A&M was physical enough to be dirty the rest of the game...saw a lot of business decisions being made especially with their secondary during run plays

Yet another reason why I did not want Jimbo as our HC. He either teaches such actions, or allows them with no consequences. He’s a “cross any line to win” Coach. Learned it at Auburn under Pat Dye.

I agree. And I’m not saying flops aren’t apart of the game because we get away with the fake injuries to as well as every single other school. But the clear cut fakes like the auburn and A&M ones have got to be penalized

That guy played dirty all night; he was trying to hurt Burrow.

That same SOB, #52 Justin Madubuike, had a little extra activity after the play after tackling CEH in the same drive... YouTube

He's a POS!
