I'm sure you said the same thing about Daniels lack of ability to throw it down the field in his first year.

Quit comparing greatness to mediocrity. Daniels took time to learn but he protected the ball.

I’m sure you’re one of the enlightened that wanted Nuss starting over Daniels.

Il never understand why this board is so in love with Nuss. I want him to succeed. But it didn’t take a genius to know he would be careless with the ball. I don’t care about the running game. You still have to protect the ball!

Nuss is scarred. It's over for him.

Nuss is a Miss state, Kentucky , Missouri QB, Not an elite SEC team QB

Don't let the early stats fool you.

Look at his red zone stats when QB play is the most important. 2nd to last in the SEC.

Horrible

he can be very good if/when it does.

This is where I think he's at on the QB spectrum as well. Lot of arm talent. But not making good decisions in the moment.

reminds me a lot of Jarrett Lee. Throws some great passes and when he is on he is deadly. Happy feet and gunslinger mentality hurt both.

Honestly not opposed to seeing what the backup can do at this point.

The criticism of Jayden in '22 was that he was too tentative. Overly protective. Yes, he didn't throw ints but the offense stalled as well.

That all changed in '23 and he was unstoppable. That said, go look at his '21 stats at ASU. IDK the whole story and they're an outlier to his career. But even great QBs have a learning curve.

I think he's more of a D2 qb. For 24, he's done. Qb's don't recover from those mistakes.

what’s concerning to me is he does all the wrong things habitually despite having high and coaching and mentoring his whole life.

I remember his freshmen year you’d watch him and Max Johnson constantly throwing off their back foot.

Your dads are NFL QBs and QB coaches. how do you have bad footwork?

He's signed multiple 4 star receivers.

The reason he didn’t transfer was not for love of LSU .

I expected a higher football IQ by now . Burrow was a film studier , tougher and a better athlete . What does this guy do with his time ? If you want the next level , you have to work your fanny off outside of practice , because it is extremely competitive .

Peyton Manning was not exactly a natural athlete ( like Eli and Arch jr ). But … he worked his fanny off with film study . He used resistance bands around his waist to drop back faster . If you want a shot at the NFL , you have to work very hard outside of practice . Either he doesn’t do that or … he doesn’t have it .

The reality is that Nuss is a QB who throws it to the other team. The data supports that narrative.

He has to fix it next year.

Both hands to his heads like “frick I can’t believe I just did that”. Like he’s as shocked as anyone

I like Nuss and think he could be good. But that always concerns me.

Yes, it would be better to have him act like Jordan Jefferson after an interception....smiling as if no bid deal.

You people are something else. All of the piling on for Nuss, when there are MANY other parts of the puzzle that are performing badly, including OL, yes, OL.....and the WR's are just average in terms of getting open and getting deep, although they do catch the ball fairly well (outside of Lacy who had a huge drop the other night that would have been an answer to Bama's first TD). Lacy is pretty inconsistent.

Nuss has all the tools and is having to gain much needed experience while being a completely one dimensional offense that lacks a running game, and quite frankly, lacks blocking in the middle of the line....all the while playing some of the best defenses in the SEC this year, which is evidenced by the fact LSU would win most tie-breakers due to success of SEC opponents this year. Anyway, carry on.
