The reviews on Jennings's spring game performance didn't seem to be too bad...

but his performance in the first quarter of the Spring game shows me that he hasn't improved at all. They say his poise and footwork is better, but he's still missing receivers by 10 yds. He just doesn't have the talent to be very good. I see a lot of drives ending unnecessarily because he can't complete a 5-7 yd pass. I say let Diarse run the wishbone.

He's improving but his accuracy is still pretty bad. His footwork and poise is better but obviously it's just a scrimmage.

You hit the nail on the head. He doesn't have the talent to have a high ceiling. He is inaccurate and very "lofty" with his throws. RARELY hitting a receiver in stride or over the middle with any arm strength.

His first pass was really good.
The second pass for the TD was horrible.
Jennings' stats were inflated by several complete breakdowns by the defense.

I think the people calling the scrimmage a push are kidding themselves. I've watched the game multiple times, and with Harris the O just flows.

people are putting too much into a spring game.
most of the people on this board would've wanted Matt Mauck's scholarship pulled

True dat!
They would also put Richard Murphy as a heisman finalist.

After watching Harris and Jennings thus far... How is there even a discussion about who the starter will be!? Harris is throwing vapor jet seeking missiles and Jennings hasn't improved at all! McMillan looks better than Jennings in all honesty.

No one's blatantly making a deciding factor on how good or bad AJ or Harris is based on the spring game, we're just looking at the improvements over the off season. Not to mention this is one of the few times we really get to see the two QB's actually compete against each other on somewhat of a level playing field. So yes some emphasis should be put on their performances.
Both have gotten better but Jennings missed 4 straight throws in the first quarter which was pretty ugly. Harris obviously has a more electric arm and he seemed to give the offense more of a up beat tempo. If he can stay poised more in the pocket and win the job we're looking at a really strong team next year.

Jennings is improving as well as Harris. There's still time before the season and the light could really come on for either one of them between now and then. Right now it's about repetition building comfort. It's not always about the big play, but the right play.
In watching both play it's helpful to remember that Cam teaches them that a "one-on-one" match-up is a good read by the QB per Mett when he was here. It's a matter of putting the ball in a spot where only the receiver can get to it.

How many more ways can the Rant come up with to say that Harris should start? I mean frick, we get it.

The very first pass was a lucky throw, he waited far too long to make that throw and the TE made a good play on it.

Too bad it never worked out in the Fall.

he threw a 70 harder, that should have been a TD.
Dural was open by probably 20 yards, had to basically stop to catch the ball.
One thing for sure, jennings never has to worry about overthrowing those deep balls.

He was running and threw it across his body, no shite it was short. And he overthrew two deep balls before that anyway.

1. he had time to stop and set his feet.
2. he sort of does, just not really well. does this weird hop thing
3. its a bad throw. Just a rainbow arch.
of course i am watching a fricking vine, because my buddy who asked my to boil crawfish made promises of it being on the TV, and failed to live up to those promises.

Cherry pick much.

What does his 65% completion rate, 242 yds. passing, 2 TDs, and zero ints. show you?
You must not have seen the 2014 spring scrimmage.

The FANS expectations and ceiling are much TOO High for AJ.
