Well I've heard from a reliable source that the handler is just a wuss and won't even try to get him in his cage if he seems nervous or off at all

My dog freaks out everytime anything bigger than a Taurus drives by. He's alive and well and loving life. He has not suffered irreparable damage because of the dump truck that comes by twice a week, every week.

Silly that we have a live mascot but don't use it for one of the main reasons that that we have a live mascot to begin with. Huge waste of money.

Get Mike's arse in his cage for a the mere 24 hours per year for 7-8 home games...he can go spend the other 364 days a year in his lavish mansion with his private oasis for one. He'll live.

I'm all for the humane treatment of animals, but c'mon this is getting ridiculous...we're not having him swim the Mississippi or having him fight with other Tigers...all he has to do is get in the cage, make his round, and then he's done for the night.

The vets don't even try to get Mike in his cage anymore. They tweet at 8:30 am that Mike isn't going to the game. That's long before he's supposed to get in his cage. Their excuse is that they know that Mike doesn't want to go.

Did Alleva twirl his mustache, and laugh maniacally as that happened?

Mike V died just a couple of months after that article was written. Sadly it was my graduation day.

Simple solution ..... tour diva Mike in pre-game ceremonies then before the fireworks go off put Mr. Fancy Pants Tiger back in his cage.

Fireworks are a waste. Mike is invaluable. We don't need fireworks to get fired up. Mike in his cage is an institution, and has very deep meaning to the fans and also the competition.

Put his butt in the cage and ship him over to the stadium. The louder he roars, the better. What a whimp.

What a big pussy....

The cage used in the stadium pretty much hides him anyway.

I dont care if he goes, just let him out in his habitat on game days so folks can see him.

The cat lives in a multi-million dollar enclosure. As long as fans can interact with him through the glass and mesh, let him be.

I have always and will always think the fireworks are gay as frick.

What is the purpose? So half the stadium cant see the team run out or are paying attention to them?

Now I hate them more.
