It’s because he didn’t slide. He was picked about where he should have been considering the NFL isn’t a running back league any more. It’s just so many rantards bought the 1st round hype.

I agree. 2nd or 3rd round is what I expected. 1st round would have been a reach and 4th - 7th would have been a great value pick.

You may be right about the first part, but a RB was drafted #2 and Guice was rated ahead of him at times during the year.
Regardless, he was picked below just about every projection. He slid, we will likely never know exactly why.
All that said he is in a good spot and will have as much of a chance to shine as if he were taken in the first round.

This statement depends on the position of the players selected ahead of him. As pointed out, in this draft there weren't 6 running backs better than him regardless of the system. He was considered a late 1st to mid 2nd rd selection pre draft but there were no more than 2 other rb's projected higher and he was largely considered the 2nd best rb prospect.

He is but his actions caused him to slide down we know that many backs picked before him was not better time to move on
