Awesome story. Crazy how these high profile athletes like the coaching staff and see the progress. Yet you have a bunch of middle aged fat guys who put the coaching staff down every chance they get.

I think you have it wrong. The negativism is normally coming from youngsters towards the older coaches.

Ree I gotta admit bro, I didn’t really pay much attention to the thread title at first. That’s what really provoked the whole thread tbh.. but like lunatik said, we would have wound up in the same spot regardless, so.....

It just seems to be failure or ultimate success. O is the greatest coach or the worst coach. I don't understand the extremes on the board. There's a lot of stuff in between. There's a lot of stuff these coaches do well and not so well just like most coaching staffs and most people in general.

I feel like you getting a name change would feel a lot like watching those HGTV shows where they get a old shitty house, clean it up, add some fresh paint, and some shiplap, and BAM.... beautiful new house

Then you could just be LSUtigers or something like that. No need for the outdated 2004 MySpace lookin bubbles

If nothing else our coaches can recruit.

You think a 16th ranked class is up to this program's standards?

Also want to make it clear that I'm not "bashing" anyone. Just asking a question. We should encourage good questions on this board more without it being considered bashing.

Coach O and company are doing well. They still have a lot of areas to work on but they're working on them. The offense has a long way to go but they're going and they will put a better product on the field next season. The coaching staff is competent and I have no doubt that they will address the problems. I don't understand the extremes here either.

Personally, no.

But it will go- O's first year, building depth on the lines, he brought in Joe and Tracy

I don't have any doubt that they have the "want" to address the problems or that they will actually address them.

This is the real world though. You don't get credit just for trying. You have to set a plan into motion, and that plan has to work.

Do you believe that the football coach and his staff will have this team competing for championships this next season? And will you hold them accountable if they don't?

You're as far to one extreme as anyone on this board. You literally attack anyone who has a different opinion than you do.

You don't understand it? Get the frick out of here with that holier than thou bullshite.

All this time I thought it was having fun trolling him, but it seems like he is doing the same thing. I refuse to believe anybody is as dumb as he is pretending to be.

I believe that the team will be in a better position to compete for a national championship next season. I had hoped that they would this past season but I thought that it was probably a year too soon. If they fall short of a national championship but win a respectable 10 games I'm not sure what holding them accountable means moving forward. I believe that the program is moving in the right direction and and a national championship is coming be it this year or next. As long as O is bringing in top 5 recruiting classes the team will be trending up. Eventually the depth will be there to win a NC.

Now in the event that the team falls off or the wheels come off coach O and his staff will have to go. As of now the offense has to improve by quite a bit, the return issues on special teams have to be addressed, and I don't believe that the defense will fall off at all. In fact with the addition of a pass rush it could possibly be better.

Now I don't understand why my position concerning this team is considered extreme.
