Oh?

Then explain the satisfaction with the last several seasons?

The excuses that keep being made so people don't have to admit LSU is only a 8-9 win team annually?

Explain the excitement for a 9 win season this year with the head coach in his 3rd year?

The expectation at LSU is (or at least should be) titles...division, conference and national. They are no where near obtaining any of those three any time soon with the current coaching staff.

But continue on with the yearly excuses and ignorance. Next year will be the same. "But but but just wait til ____________"

What does this even mean?

Can you list some of these excuses?

Coach O just finished his second full season. Why would he not be given the same consideration that any other coaching hire would be given?

They're in the process of signing an excellent recruiting class. The future actually looks good.

We’ve signed top 5 recruiting classes

From 2013-2017 our classes ranked
6, 2, 5 , 2 and 7

And in 2016 we went 8-4, 2017 we went 9-4.

So when people say things like “we’re bringing in a top class things will be better”

Our team is made of top classes. Look to the coaches.

Awesome story. Crazy how these high profile athletes like the coaching staff and see the progress. Yet you have a bunch of middle aged fat guys who put the coaching staff down every chance they get.

Offense ranked in the bottom third of all college football teams and 0 points against Alabama, in two games, 8 quarters, both at home.

Is it really that hard to believe that sometimes people get hired based on comfort rather than competence?

After all, this is Louisiana we're talkin about here.

The bottom line is the offense showed no signs of progress this year and that’s not even debatable.

How many examples of 2nd year coaches that did better than O this year would you like? The last 3 at LSU all had better years. 2 of them took over after multiple losing seasons not 8-5, 9*-3

Nah, it's the RB10 bat signal to point out Lester Earl's bullshite. You know, like claiming 9 Olinemen playing is the most in a decade when LSU played 9 in 2017. You glossed over this earlier. Just thought I'd give you another chance to address it.

Cushenberry
Magee
Brumfield
Clapp
Ingram
Decalus
Charles
Malone
Weathersby

All played in 2017.

If we're 11-1 next year, you're really going to care how many style points the offense gets? That's insane to me. At 11-1, the offense will have been good enough to win ELEVEN games! That's good enough for me

Offense is only half the story. I can promise you if LSU goes 11-1 it's not because of the offense. The only reason LSU is ever over .500 with this putrid offense they've had for the past 12 years, is because of a stout defense littered with NFL talent.

If LSU had a defense to match their offense this year, what do you think their record would have been? Honestly.

Now ask yourself this. If LSU had an offense to match their defense, what would their record have been?

There's your answer.

College coaching is 80 to 90% recruiting. Ensminger is plenty good enough. Joseph was hired to recruit New Orleans not coach WR. I understand someone has to,coach WR but recruiting NOLA is why he has a job.. no other reason

Nice post but didn't address my question at all. So either you have reading comprehension problems or you deliberately misunderstood my post. In any event today is going to be a huge day for LSU that will pay dividends down the road. So you sit here and wallow in misery. I'm going to head back to the recruiting board.

You asked why he doesn’t get the same consideration as other 2nd year coaches, consideration for what?

Yeah, sounds like, that’s awesome. After a lower ranked class last year the staff did an excellent job this year, kudos!

This narrative is so fricking tired. Maybe if you and a handful of others weren’t so insecure and angry you’d understand people just want LSU to win

That’s honestly not even what the article says.

He says Emery didn’t like Canada’s pitch but watched Ebsmingers offense and thought he could take those carries farther.

He also saw the log jam at RB at UGA.

I ignored it because playing /=/ starting

LSU has started this many lineman only 1 other time in the last 18 years.

Glad you got the guys that played on FG team tho. You really got me!

Which players listed didn't start and/or play significant snaps in at least one game last season?

ETA: Before you bother trying to spin it, everyone on that list had at least 1 game with 50 snaps.
