The principle of not wearing the heisman winners jersey number is consistent with burrow and cannon.

This is a petty way to handle this imo.

Burrow’s number isn’t officially retired.

But I bet recruits aren’t coming in and asking for #9 because there’s going to be a lot of pressure on the next person who wears that number.

Nobody is worried about asking for #5 and whether they can live up to 9-3 seasons with a Reliaquest Bowl bid

Maybe lsu should have thought of that beforehand.

Not sure it’s worth giving the number to someone who hasn’t accomplished anything while other numbers sit on ice

Let me be clear on this:

Joe Burrow can go f**k himself if doesn't want another player to wear the number nine jersey. Same goes for all retired jersey numbers.

I believe retiring jersey numbers is foolish.

Thinking a player shouldn't wear the same number as "YOU" is a profoundly arrogant position to take.
