Coach O delivers a NC to LSU, and the TRanters still question his judgement. Coach O made one dubious hire(Canada) and he rectified that problem. The Brady/Ensminger Offense is in place. Linehan will help with coaching QB's and WR's, as he has experience doing both at the collegiate level at Idaho, Washington, and Louisville. He brings NFL OC play calling experience and can help Ensminger with situational play calling as Brady did. The biggest Melt is over Linehan's lack of success in Dallas. Let me see, he had to deal with a meddling owner telling the coach whom to play, and I haven't seen Prescott lighting up the league with stellar play since Linehan's departure. In Coach O we trust, he's earned it.

This does not make him infallible and it's stupid to imply that it does.

It means he’s earned the margin for people like you to shut up and roll with it for at least a month after the greatest season in history of CFB.

But it does give him the benefit of the doubt in this matter without being questioned by uninformed nimrods.

Coach O got rid of Jerry Sullivan and his max protecting ways to bring in Brady. He identified a problem and fixed it.

He didn't rush the hire either and risk not getting it right. He's made all the right moves thus far, and it's his butt on the line when it comes down to it. The shrimpboat Captain has this Jester.

He was 2nd in yards passing and 4th in TDs this year. that's 1000 more yards and 8 more TDs vs the year before with Linehan, but yeah, no improvement

I'm not "melting" over the hire, im yawning. Hopefully it works out fine

If this is what we are paying him, then I do question the contract. He hasn't done jack yet and doesn't deserve this kind of scratch imo.

Never said he didn't.

Just pointing out that CEO made a second bad hire after Canada. And that the optics of this hire is that it is closer to a Jerry Sullivan hire than it is a Joe Brady hire.

You forgot the 11 INT's and 6 fumbles. That he laid an egg Week 16 against the Eagles. 56.8 Comp Pct, 0 TD's, and cost his team a shot at the Playoffs. Prescott is going to steal the "Big Game" Moniker from Bob Stoops very soon.

The Joe Brady hire literally had no optics. It was barely a blip until the spring game, and then once again against Ga Southern.

Winning a title does not make you immune to mistakes or criticism. LSU fans of all people should understand this quite well from experiencing the 10 years after the Les Miles title.

If we’re being honest Les miles stubbornly backed his way into a two loss title, and rode it for years while never changing.

Coach O has changed every year, sometimes for better or worse and achieved the most glorious Championship possible.

Not apples to apples.

True, I question this hire not so much as some here but damn this guy does seem like a step backward in philosophy.

it takes a good bit of scratch to get someone who was a NFL OC for 4 different teams in the NFL and a NFL HC.

Maybe not to the national media, but it did to tiger nation. Brady was a young coach who had spend time learning from some great offensive minds. Nobody knew if it was going to work, but it represented a major change.
