I love when I start a gag thread right after a game and it lasts well into the next day after rustling the masses.

I mean he spent the majority of his playing career at Curtis. PBS didn’t save the day, they are one of the reasons why high school sports sucks in this state and this is a prime example. Recruiting

I’m beginning to see some of the problem with LSU’s baseball team if the players are like their HS fanatical fans !! ME , ME , ME and not TEAM

PBS... Recruiting

This is mostly about ignorance of the process of choosing a school in a city like Baton Rouge. If you have the means and your kid wishes to excel academically and/or athletically then you do not choose to go to a public school. Your only "public" option is to be fortunate enough to get into University High's Lab School which is quasi public.

Parents simply do not have a public school option in EBR that makes sense for any student wishing to excel in a Spring sport. Most suck up the financial stress and send kids to privates. If your kid is a baseball or softball player, Parkview happens to be close to the top of the list that most would consider.

Some just hate success and it is rampant on this board.

What about kids from surrounding parishes that choose to go to school there? You can’t tell me there isn’t at least some recruiting going on

Do we really have a pissing match going between adults about teenagers who just so happened to attend the same school as they did? That's some weird arse vicariousness.

I am sure there is recruiting on every level in every type of school and activity. But no more at privates than what goes on at most public schools.

No one has a bigger advantage than the magnet schools. They have no attendance zone and have 100% paid scholarships for every single kid that attends. Why aren't you complaining about all of the magnet school/public schools schollies being given out?
