Do y’all think Peetz and Mangus will bring the option back with Max as a running QB? Could be deadly with him and a bada$$ running back. Just a thought.

I'd personally be cool if I never saw the option again.

It’s actually not the worst idea I’ve heard on here. Everything is cyclical so it will come back at some point, but probably not now.

Only if it's to the short side of the field.

I mean old school Option. Not RPO. Really this was for schlitts and giggles but it’s not the craziest idea. I’m not suggesting we go back to Leslies option to the short side of the field. I’m just throwing it out there.

I’d like to see more motions. I watched how Alabama motioned Smith throughout the season and it’s impressive how much space it creates. Can’t really jam a guy that’s moving at the snap of the ball.

Now THATS an idea. I like the idea of more motion but that was also Canada’s big shtick. And it didn’t work well.

I know exactly what you meant. I was just pointing out how the RPO has replaced old school option. Option in todays football would struggle. DL and LBs are way too fast now. Lets not go back in time.

Hence why I said it was more for shlitts and giggles. But everything is cyclical. Get a true scat back back there and it could work.
