I'll take Will Wade over some scholarships and Odell being banned from campus for a few years

It’s punishment for the fact that he was stupid enough to do it live on camera on the damn field.
That’s the real issue. Be smarter OBJ

OBJ is all about OBJ. A cancer for your team.

2 years for passing out cash in front of TV CAMERAS?

That’s a joke. That a-hole shouldn’t show his face on campus for 5 years minimum after that stunt.

Leave it to you, you would have banned Will Wade too then.

They were scholarships that would be difficult to fill anyway.

I'm not sure what LSU could've done differently about the OBJ situation. I understand the ban, but I can't fathom how anything else is warranted. How were they supposed to know he was going to do that?

If the OLOL stuff wasn’t part of it, nothing would come of it outside the players still playing having to pay the money back. We see that happen all the time. It was a Level III violation. They’re trying to suck up to the NCAA right now, largely because of Will wade and not wanting an LOIC

We didn’t self impose scholarship bans over $2000, most of which went to players who never played another game for LSU

Big Gorilla... taking shots at the Browns ineptitude over the last 25 yrs is tired as well. As a Browns fan I understand how bad we are ..BUT - look at another Brown (LSU) guy in Landry .All-pro caliber receiver who i think is a better all around WR than OBJ and he doesnt act like a little spoiled kid
Yeah they were both here at LSU at the same time. A lot of us felt the same way then, that you do now (minus all the acting out)... Beckham was flashier and made more big plays, Landry seemed like the more consistent guy and harder worker.

Landry is the type of guy who, if you asked him to block a linebacker, would go try to blow that linebacker up, instead of just get in his way.

This is the effort he puts into making a play

On 95% of WRs, that's an interception. On some guys, they make a play (penalty or otherwise) to break it up.

For Jarvis, it's a catch for a 1st down

I think LSU got it right. 5 years is kind of extreme. Seeing all the NFL talent on the sideline is a solid look for recruiting.

Agreed. LSU can’t appear to condone an ex player handing out cash in the locker room.

At the same time LSU shouldn’t completely burn that bridge over a mistake right after our best season ever. OBJ has done a lot for the school. And we don’t need any more ex-players getting into pissing matches with the university and the fans on social media. It’s not a good look, and it can hurt recruiting.

I think 2 years is appropriate.

As a Brown’s fan you should love an athlete that’s super competitive and wants the ball every play.

Nothing should have been done to him at all. What he did was 100% proper and deserved.

Pay these workers.
