what will nuss bring to the table as strengths and what do you think will be his weaknesses?

you got to see him in the bowl game
for his first start without much meaningful time during the season I thought he acquitted himself quite well in that game

I think the bigger question is how does the offense change without Daniels, especially the running game and Kelly has already indicated that the design of the running game will change and I expect more utilization for the TE's

I think Mason Taylor will have more opportunities given his great performance in the bowl games where he was targeted more and the plays we know he is capable of.

Strengths? Arm talent. Gunslinger mentality. Leader. Don't forget, he was the unofficial leader of his recruiting class much like Moses is with '25.

Weakness? Gunslinger mentality. Not so much that he is turnover prone, but that mentality leads to more picks. Coaching and experience can change that.

Strengths: student of the game, gym rat, sneaky athletic, brings his lunch pail everyday, coach on the field, deceptive speed

He won't run like JD.
He will need to push the ball down field in order to open up the running game, dink and dunk won't work, we will get stagnant. He needs to be a consistent/efficient threat at 25+ yards

I know he is not much of a runner but if he could just take 7-10 yards once or twice a game when the defense sells out on the pass, this could make worlds of difference for our offense

Yep. Fine line between aggressive confidence and recklessly throwing the ball up for grabs.

Calm is not a word I would use to describe Nuss. It's probably one of his biggest weaknesses, IMO. He always looks like he just snorted some Adderall.

Pretty sure the bowl game gave us highlights of what is to come this year. The running game will be more of a priority, and Nuss will take off and run if need be to get needed yardage, but nothing like JD5 did. More of a balanced attack with more runs coming with the stud backs we have.

D's can game plan for him easier since he's not much of a run threat. He better have released already when pocket collapses because heat will be coming.

By this logic D's can plan for any QB who isn't a run threat. Also acting like our oline which may be the best in the country is trash. Wow.
