He had a 36% completion rate on balls over 20 yards until that point. Just odd that our offense looks this bad since his deep ball numbers have always been suspect.

I see this but the deep ball issues last IMHO had nothing to do with not being able to throw the ball that far. I think the Tech game showed that to be a real issue.

Or maybe, just maybe, Sloan needs to start being a way better play caller (I don’t think he can) and Nuss needs to start making better decisions and stop panicking just like he did last year when he was “healthy”

Just pray we get a 3 TD lead in First Half and give Nuss rest and MVB some PT.

Because BK is using it as a BS excuse to take some heat off of Nuss and the offense.

BK (after receiving heat from the piss poor offensive performances so far): "Nuss has been dealing with a nagging torso injury that has not limited his in-game reps, but has limited his preparation. But he's starting to turn a corner."

BK after playing an FCS school and the 93rd ranked team defense: "See, it was the injury that was holding the offense back."

Agreed. The offense just sucks and Nuss is doing what he’s always done.

He’s the winningest active coach in college football. I think he knows what he’s doing.

A lot of people in here really showing that they only read or watched snippets of Monday's press conference.

Kelly didn't say "Nuss is injured and its limiting him" or anything along those lines.

He said Nuss had a torso issue come up during camp and that they have been managing his practice load because of it but that it was not a primary reason for offensive struggles. (yall remember him not throwing during the final scrimmages?) He also said that they seem to be on the other side of this and are slowly ramping him up.

He said all of that on Monday this is not news.

Yeah, I don’t get it. He even went as far as to say he’ll “shut it down” during the bye week. If he already knows that he’ll need to shut it down in a few weeks, I don’t know why you just wouldn’t do it now instead of having him slammed into the ground and roughed up. Oh well.

This whole thing seems odd. So all of a sudden Nuss is getting better since BK decided to disclose his injury? Almost like Kelly is feeding the fans some BS story just to satisfy them and take their attention away from somewhere else.

Should have kept him with #13. It’s a luckier number.

Not buying it

This is on par with "judge me in year 3"

Nussmeier just isn't that great. It absolutely blows my mind that people had him going top 10 in the draft. BASED ON WHAT.

We should've finished 7-5 last year, most of which was on Nuss, but the refs bailed us out against USCe, and last minute heroics in a game we should've been up saved him. It caught up to him after the OM game.
