The NFL scouts came to the campus to check out a WR. They stayed because of the kicker.

Why Division II kicker Cole Tracy was pegged as LSU’s solution

“A concern for them was ‘Has he kicked in front of big crowds?'” Chesney said. “So he decided to exercise his fifth year. Oklahoma State and LSU flew him out the next week.

“He doesn’t do kicker lifts. He lifts with the team,” Chesney said. “He does squats and lifts. If you do everything with the team,

Fortunately, neither Tracy nor the team missed many kicks. He nailed 27 of 29 field goals this season, including a long of 53. He also hit all 67 of his extra-point attempts for the Greyhounds’ powerful offense.

Connor Culp and Jack Gonsoulin were a combined 16 for 27 on field-goal attempts and 40 for 43 on extra-point tries.

Chesney is convinced that the SEC is not the last stop in Tracy’s career — just the next stop.

“He is that good.”

He will lead the team in points scored next year validating his spot in the 2018 class

Kickers are a weird bunch. I'd suggest keeping him away from our other kickers so they don't rub off on him

A kicker. A fricking kicker is the solution at LSU. Still, not rock bottom yet.

You are really dumb if you don't realize he is the solution for this:

"Connor Culp and Jack Gonsoulin were a combined 16 for 27 on field-goal attempts and 40 for 43 on extra-point tries."

His numbers:

"27 of 29 field goals this season, including a long of 53. He also hit all 67 of his extra-point attempts"

You got it now, Bonehead?

Cost LSU 36 points on the scoreboard last season so yes I would call it a solution!!

Can't win games without a reliable kicker. But please continue the tough guy talk.

I mean, it is called FOOTball. Perhaps kicking is important.

A lot of "FREE" points left on the table this year. The amazing thing to me was the 3 missed extra points. These are TWO college kickers we are talking about.

11 FG's = 33 points
3 EP's = 3 points

36 points given up by the kickers. I would give them a typical 3 missed FG's for the year. They still left 27 points out there. Pretty bad for college.

Hopefully O will kick field goals on third and inches now too! That’s an exciting prospect. The solution has arrived thanks to Ed “Tomato Gumbo” Orgeron’s recruiting prowess. Who needs TD’s with a kicker like this?

I'm sure he will appreciate that. He was left two kickers worse than what my hometown's high school had last year.

What did you want him to do? Not get a kicker and risk giving over 40 points for the 2018 season?

And I thought you were partially joking before when I called you dumb.

This is the type of idiocy where the "negative" posters who claim they are the ones who really want whats best for the program's argument falls apart. In fairness, maybe this is one of the fringe psychos who really does want Miami to win in September and not representative of those with legitimate concerns.

But this post is just stupid and reinforces how pathetic some of our "fans" are. The OP makes a post about at KICKER, a kicker coming to LSU who has impressed NFL scouts and the brain dead midget still spews garbage on the post.

I've heard they will keep him in Mike's mobile cage during games since Mike isn't using it.
