While Joe and Jayden weren’t their best in their first year starting, you cannot compare Nuss to them.
you are correct, both were projected late round draft picks after their first year starting at LSU. He is MUCH better than what JB was his first year starting.....but people forget that.

He is our best option, and a legit, next level guy.
He is also in his first year as a starter.
He looked like shite in the second half.
Let’s hope that he learned something from it.

Well, we were winning and had momentum until he threw that first interception then it was all downhill after that
he sucked the last quarter and a half. But if you think it was all him and not also the OL and defense, and special teams, and wrs.....ok.

The Nuss that I was afraid of has shown himself the past 3 games.
Not sure what happened (other than playing better teams), but hope he fixes it soon because he is, unfortunately, the entire offense.

The running game always helps the passing game… why does LSU keep running behind a center or even offensive line that can’t block to save their life.. why no jet sweeps, why no imagination on running the football.. it hasn’t worked up the middle all season but yet we are still trying to find that lucky piece of gold on one play up the middle.. something needs to change… why does the offensive coordinator stop doing what’s working in the middle of the field rather than throwing 40 yard passes to the sidelines for 4 yard gains… it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out especially on a college level..

I was already saying he needs to come back next season but last night definitely reinforced that thought.
Nuss can become a legit Heisman first round candidate if he returns

You’re right, the defense didn’t play their best game but we were still winning until he shite the bed and of course missing three field goals didn’t help either

I hate that he gets hit one time and turns to garbage that quick. He doesn't seem to have the mental toughness to stay in his game. He is NO Joe Burrow.

He is what he’s always been. Gun slinger who looks for too many big plays instead of taking what the defense gives him. The fact he hasn’t improved his footwork and still makes dumb throws into coverage across his body is not a good look.

he CAN fix it soon by running the football himself. They are giving him wide open lanes and dropping in coverage. If and when he ever decides to do that, he (and our offense) will be MUCH BETTER.

LOL His own player hit his leg. You can criticize him for many things, but toughness should not be one of them. His lack of running is not because he is scared, hell, when he did run he didn't even slide, which was dumb.
He has never ran in his career and has too much reliance on his arm. That must change, and fast, if he wants to take it to the next level.

They could drop 11 and he wouldn't get two yards.
A single dimensional QB, paired with no running game, is a recipe for disaster.
He has to start running the ball. Everything will get better, including our RB game, when he decides it's ok to get tackled.

I honestly don't see him making it at the next level. He's too afraid of contact and he'd get a shite ton of it there.

Don’t have to worry about him leaving early

After losing Nabers and Thomas, our WR aren’t elite anymore. We have good receivers but not elite ones. Those drops and miss timed jumps would have all been caught by Nabers and Thomas. Those plays stalled drives and caused us to kick FG’s that we missed. Nuss started pressing in the second half and it showed. A couple of those interceptions were just great bait and switch plays by their defense.

Don't blame the WRs

He has stayed in the pocket and been drilled quite a few times this season.
Guts is not an issue imho.
Decision making…perhaps.
However, experience tends to help in that regard.

As I have said, he needs a lot of work. The complete absence of a running game did him no favors.
