So LSU was 90 seconds from playing for a NC spot next week following an undefeated regular season in 2011 and in the NC game but we are in decline?

You're not going to get any answers Prom. He doesn't exist.

The funny thing is, most of the whiners on here aspire to be what Saban has made Bama. They have a legit claim that he is "THE BEST" in the country. So if he is the best, then the best guy we could hope to hire could only be the second best coach in the country right.

So how much better would this "second best" guy be? Les is now 3-4 against Saban...2-2 in the last 4. So this second best guy they want to hire, he is going to have a winning record against Saban? How can he have a winning record if he isnt better than Saban?!

They have the number one coach, the best recruiting, the most money, and top level facilities. And this second best new guy is going to overcome this how?

I am mystified by their lack of logic.

The next few years...Collins Lacy Bell Need I continue?

yea, go on. auburn has taken as many or more. we got alexander and some others too. there is always some leakage but you focus only on saban. under miles, LSU gets the vast majority of the top recruits. losing lacy didn't hurt our rb corp one iota nor did bell while collins probably hurt but he hasn't played so we don't know.

Thanks man! Coming from you that is high praise! Anything else you need explained to you?

Like how to see rainbows and love puppies?

How to not worry and be happy?

Who knows, an occasional smile might even raise your IQ a few points...not that a smart guy like you needs any more points.

Who would you trade for Lacy, Blue, Ford, or Ware?

Bell went to bama because Randall came to LSU.

Nah, there were two very good teams and a whole lot of mediocrity.

ok agree to disagree, which schedule was harder then? 11 or 12? I say 11 was and i also think LSu was better last year.

If you think 12 was harder, well that may explain why we lost 2 games this year and beat everyone we played last year.

Basically my point is the schedule and how tough it is will change from year to year. I did not expect ole miss to be this good or arkansas and aubrun to be that bad. UW also won 4 more games than i thought they were capable of. State is who we thought they were, even though every year fans say "trap game" 13 strait now? I knew UF would have talent, but didnt know they could almost put it all together. Anyone heard of Manziel before this year? Anyone think Mccarron would wait til week 10 to throw a pic?

After the UF loss people swore wed lose at least 4 games, but that didnt happen either and are now screaming les cost us a ship when they didnt give us a chance to begin with. shite the chciken littles were saying bama was going to stomp us, that didnt happen either.

CORRECT!!

And now if you could just get those hemorrhoids to stop growing out of YOUR butt you might actually find something positive to post once in awhile.

Marlin, I'm with you. A realist. I was in the 12% that thought LSU would go 10-2 in DandyDon's poll. I lay most of the blame on Miles for the Bama loss. Miles' lack of preparation in last year's BCSNC game.

Is anybody else worried about the next few years for Miles and LSU? With Notre Dame up and running, Urban coming off probation, Johnny Manziel and Sumlin, the Oregon Machine, Muschamp up and running at UF, the Bama machine, Hugh Freeze, potential big hires at Arkansas, Auburn and Tennessee.... LSU will always be good, but in my opinion, Miles will need to do a "masterful" job of recruiting and coaching to keep pace with the SEC and National powers...
