The SEC will be brutal in 2013, with Bama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, A&M, Carolina and even Mississippi fielding strong teams. The only thing to do is deal with it—prepare to the best of your ability and may the best team win.

He DID beat the team in 2011......is it LSU's fault Bama got a mulligan? It will NEVER happen again and it's just unfortunate it happened to LSU and Miles.

It's happened before (Florida-Florida State), and with the four team playoff, it will happen more frequently in the future.

We need better coaching to stay competitive.

Is anybody else worried about the next few years for Miles and LSU? With Notre Dame up and running, Urban coming off probation, Johnny Manziel and Sumlin, the Oregon Machine, Muschamp up and running at UF, the Bama machine, Hugh Freeze, potential big hires at Arkansas, Auburn and Tennessee.... LSU will always be good, but in my opinion, Miles will need to do a "masterful" job of recruiting and coaching to keep pace with the SEC and National powers...

True, big teams are becoming big again. Teams with the easiest schedules will have the best shot. *cough* Bama, ND, Oregon, Georgia *cough* LSU lost to two teams that at the end of the year could be ranked 1 and 2. Does that matter? No, it is still two losses. Our upcoming schedules have at least 5 potential losses even if we have a great team. At least if we pull it off we didn't take the easy road.

But LSU can beat Bama...

sometimes we can. problem is, Bama beats everyone else most of the time and looks GREAT doing it. LSU struggles to beat most everyone else and looks shitty doing it. Last year was the lone exception. We looked great all year, then shite the bed when it counted the most...

The shite you are spewing today is beyond retarded. We need better coaching to stay competitive. Really? So we weren't competitive the last 2 years?

this is why I started this thread. LSU will always recruit well no matter who the coach is. But getting the BEST Louisiana recruits to stay home is Miles challenge. So far, he has done decent, but we have lost several key guys to OOS schools. Hell we wound up 18th after the BCS championship fiasco.

The pressure will be turned up on Miles next year to recruit better, develop better and coach better than he ever has before in order to keep pace. Will he hire an OC? or make any other coaching changes? Whatever he does, the pressure will the highest it's ever been for him next year...
