Honestly, who in this area had ever heard the name Skip Bertman before he was hired?

Wonder why Godwin left LSU for the same job at UCF?
Cliff Godwin and Terry Rooney both followed Mainieri to LSU from Notre Dame. After two seasons at LSU, Rooney got his first HC job at UCF. Rooney took Godwin with him to basically be the Associate Head Coach. Godwin probably felt like it was a chance to make a name for himself in a way rather than continuing to coach under Mainieri.

McDonnell would be a great hire

He’s been to the CWS once in 20 years

The rant: we want a young, hungry, successful coach!
What about chris Godwin?
Also the rant: God no I hope not!
Chris Godwin isn’t taking the pay cut from his current job to go coach at LSU

McDonnell would be a great hire for yall. I don't think Godwin or Cannizaro check the boxes for Woodward. They are both really good coaches, but Woodward's MO is to go get the best. Aside from Sully's off-field issues, he checks the boxes also. You should be able to hire any coach you want. You have a Top 3 baseball program.

Godwin will be a good hire. I have 0 problem with this.

They just won a super bowl. Why would he quit football and become a baseball coach?

Sully probably could have gotten the LSU job except his personal life has been a disaster

I would be completely fine with Godwin. Him, Vitello, McDonnell or bust.
Posted on 6/8/21 at 7:19 pm to A Menace to Sobriety
I don't think Vitello is leaving.

If the current field is Schloss, Godwin, and Bianco. Then I’m taking Godwin fairly easily. The old guard can frick off with this Bianco love, he’s not skip no matter how hard he pretends to be
If McDonnel is in play, just double your offer to him and move on

What happened to Tony #1 for LSU?
I guess now, it is hard for LSU fans to want to hire a guy that you are about to squash the mess out of on your way to Omaha...

Many of our boomer dads. It was a big hire

I think it's going to be Godwin which wouldn't be a bad hire. I just hope they don't listen to Skip and settle for Bianco.

What about Dave Van Horn?

At this point, I want McDonald or Godwin. The most underwhelming hire would be Bianco. Either McDonald or Godwin would be good hires! IMO

Bianco would be a hire Joe Alleva would make. Totally lazy
