Deal with it. Love it. Love the Tigers. Or shut the eff up and move on.

You nailed this, man. Excellent post.

who here has said that? who? he should have 8 to 9 more wins.
Miles is something like 58-6 against unranked teams.
He "should" have 8 to 9 more wins only if you believe this:
quote:
As such, in most years, he will have more talent and depth than 95% of the teams he faces
That idea is simply not true. And it leads to the idea that he "should" have won those games, many against teams that were actually better, or at least as good as, we were in the year the game was played.
"Should" is a very dangerous idea for sports fans. It will ruin a lot of fun when our expectations aren't in line with the reality of the situation.
It leads to, dare I say it, catastrophe syndrome.
Funny that the man so many on here can't get over, dreaded those very same people every single day he was in BR until he could fulfill his dream of the NFL.

He has the best record in the SEC in his time in the league
Alright... but at what point do you ask "what have you done for me lately?"
Not saying we should fire him after one bad game, but maybe "in the past 4 years..." would be a better illustration for how things stand?
2010-2014 seasons (past 4+ years):
47-10 overall
25-7 SEC
1 SEC Championship (outright Western Division Champions)
2-2 in bowl games.
1 BCS bowl berth (National Championship; loss)
Not the best in the SEC, but still looks pretty good. Probably top 3-4.
This season and next year will be very telling: is this just a rough patch, or are things starting to slip?

Well, Jefferson had one incident that I recall, that being the Shady's bar fight. He was suspended for several games due to that fight. Mathieu was suspended for an entire game against Auburn in 2011 and then completely kicked off the team the next year. And Mathieu was as much an impact player for LSU as Winston is for FSU. Yet JIMBO was only going to suspend his quarterback for a half of the Clemson game. That's pathetic

The rant always delivers. I said this:
Les Miles is better at coaching football than you'll ever be at anything.
quote:Four posts later, arcalades says this.
I guess you're ok with mediocrity in your life.
The previous sentence is what I would have said to you if I were a complete retard.

winning the games i spoke about would not have equalled being undefeated every season or winning every game like your stupid claim made earlier kid. I didn't expect to win on 1-9 but I Expected better performance and prep for 1-9.

Neither was Miles. FYI, neither w as Saban. The fear of being the next Texas, Miami, etc., short changes the point that LSU enabled Saban and Miles become the brand names they are today.
Facilities(being upgraded), recruiting base, $, coaching budget, corporate and passionate fan support will attract the Next future brand name coach.

5) He is slow to adapt. When a 5th grade girl realizes that a change is obvious, that is about when Miles will make the change everyone else knew should have been made much earlier. Call it hard-headedness, or whatever you want, but this is the reality in most scenarios. Exceptions do not discount the overwhelming pattern.
The 5th grade girl made the call, so Harris is starting. Hopefully Bain and Godchaux and Beckwith get the same upgrade, and then we will have our best chance.

I will turn this around and ask.....when LSU hired Miles were there better candidates available?
Haven't you read the rant? Half of these jo jacks on this board are experts. They would all beat out Saban, Miles, .. you name 'em, the rant knows more.
