The McMen vs. Drake in the Emerald Coast Classic

I know, we’re all thinking about Omaha. But that’s the great thing about being a fan: posting about a different sport on a message board doesn’t affect the baseball team’s preparation! Anyway.
It’s put up or shut up time for The Great McMen. Drake should make for a tough opponent, and they will be joined by GA Tech and DePaul. Hopefully they can start the season off with a couple of big dubs and take home the hardware. Let’s finish what Kendrick started. THEY NOT LIKE US!

Not the strongest field, though I haven’t really looked heavily into the teams. I would probably expect us to be the favorite here.

I doubt many tournament organizers are beating down LSU's door to get them in, but (on paper) that's a disappointing field for a holiday tournament.
Drake was great last year...but their HC, and several of their best players, are now at Iowa.
DePaul finished 2nd to last in the Big East last year and has been the worst program in the conference for the better part of 20 years.
Georgia Tech was an average (.500) team in a very weak ACC last year
Beggars can't really be choosers. But if you are hoping for a solid non-conf. schedule this tournament doesn't look like it helps much.

Saw some incoming basketball players as the baseball game Sunday. Them baws better get in the gym and eat a shite ton of calories ASAP or they will get absolutely bullied on the court.
