Yea, you know what else is going to be working against them?

The fact that they're a freaking Div 1-AA team, with only 65 scholarships and 95% of their team was not even recruited by a Div 1-A school. I mean, that tends to make a difference, unless you're Michigan of course.

100% correct. and dont think for a second that their 65 scholarships are the same as any of our scholarships.

Been here all my life extreme heat and humidity still affects me. The weather is on both sides of the field folks. Execution and talent will prevail.

No doubt, the heat and humidity will be a factor. However, you will notice many of our players are from Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. These guys are used to playing in the heat and humidity. On the other hand, wish you Tigas could come up to Boone and experience a November game or December playoff game. It's been known to snow, even in late October, and you can freeze your butt off. We had snow games on several occassions. Just part of being a Mountaineer - makes the bourbon flow all the better.

App. State has to give us permission to wear white and I doubt they do that, considering they would have to wear black.

I read on a APP board a couple of days ago that we are wearing black. No official word, but at a Football 101 clinic someone attended they were told Black.

Feedthepig: Please do not some of the idiot fans on this board influence how you think of ASU fans. I haven't lost respect for LSU because of some of yah'lls idiots. Everyone has them and unfortunately some of ours have made it to this board. I think that some of the ASU people this board are completely delusional and live in their own fantasy world. I, for one, think that ASU is NOT going to win. Call me a non-App State fan if you want, but that's the way I think. I will be happy if we lose by 10 because that means that we hung with LSU.

I also think that starting the 100 millionth thread on the heat and humidity is a little overboard. I do think that it will be a factor because yes...it is cooler up here, and yes it is becauase of the elevation. Everyone realizes that. I think that Coach Moore will have our guys prepared to the best of their ability and expect nothing but our best, even if it means we still lose.

I Agree.,your running game will be good but the majority of the LSU fans are predicting an arse whipping. Not going to happen. If you guy have to run and we can pass,Which we will you won't make the 30 to 50 point spread you fans are predicting.End of 4th quarter LSU BY 10...espn happy...App State fans happy. LSU FANS SEARCHING FOR A QB.

I really do respect the Appy state fans a lot for all the shite they take on this board from the retarded swamptrash, but I'm gonna have to put a call out on this prediction.

A 50 point spread is never predictable. 50 points is a lot for an offense to put up even on ULM (unless you are Bama, then, this statement doesn't apply). I don't think the appy offense is gonna throw down like all of you guys think. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a shutout (I don't expect it, because a shutout is hard to pitch), but LSU will not have the prolific offense that they have had in the past. We are gonna do a lot of grinding the ball with the backs which is gonna eat up a lot of the clock. I see the final score being something like 31-10 LSU (Appy st. with a late TD against our 3rd string).

Just a thought....

You're all stupid.

love,

me.

After reading this entire thread, I am amazed at the difference in opinions with respect to weather effects. Personally, I feel like the heat and humidity will favor LSU.

In spite of the fact that I am a huge LSU Tiger fan, I hope that the weather at game-time is unusually cool and dry. The reasons are as follows:

I don't believe that the Tigers need any help from the weather to soundly defeat Appy State. To be honest with you all, I am more concerned about Troy. Nobody is saying much about them, but they were pretty good last year and their program is building.

I have lived in Minnesota for 22 years, will be at that game sitting in row 5 at the 40 just above the Tiger Bench, and I pretty sure that my body will feel miserable in high temp and humidity conditions.

I thought that this was going to be a friggin night game! I've never been to a home opener at LSU that was played in the afternoon!

I think that the fans will be more enthusiastic if the weather is more moderate.

I am a realist though, and I fully expect and am preparing for a very hot and humid day like the many I remember during my days as a student at LSU.

But I am hoping for a high of 77 with humidity around 60%. To hope for anything more extremely out of character for Baton Rouge this time of year is quite futile.

Geaux Tigers. I'll see you boys at the game!!!

The weather and humidity will be what it will be. Sounds like we do not have a chance....that's really a shame....guess there is no point in watching the game....team should probably not even go.....wow....didn't realize that we just didn't have a chance until reading these insightful comments....guess they know better than I.....I sure feel foolish....
