You know that we would win it each and every year.....you just know it.
He predicts enough things that he is bound to get some of them right......."like a blind hog rooting for an acorn".
Why do LSU fans think that they are the beginning and the end of everything.....the alpha and the omega.....the "big boys" just because a few schools got together and designed a method that they would have 85 scholarships and App State and others would have 63 scholarships to play football.
Does that make you "feel" like you are better than us? For your information the NCAA asked Appalachian if they wanted to stay 1-A back in the 80s....the year after App State beat South Carolina at Columbia, Wake Forest at Winston-Salem, Marshal and East Carolina I believe. Appalachian wanted to stay in the SoCon (the conference that spawned the SEC and the ACC) so we agreed to go into the lower division (after the NCAA said that that lower division would have really good television broadcasts....didn't turn out that way.) It was a safer move....due to expenses....they thought. No telling what App State might have done since, if not for that decision.
Well, I know that Appalachian State is the 2007 NCAA Division 1 National Champ........so are you saying that LSU is the 2007 NCAA Division 2 Champ?
Anyone, anytime, anywhere.

Besides, I believe I did fight Mike in the Tiger cage once when I took my first swig of moonshine.

If your team can do it....then do it.....
Really don't think you will be talking like this in two weeks though.
But whatever you do....do Not give us any slack.....if our team is not prepared then pound us. We deserve it if we are not ready for your worst.....we may have only 63 scholarships to your 85.....the weather, humidity, and even the crowd may be in your favor, but play your absolute best game against us. If it doesn't kill us, it will make us better.
You will never take us alive you screws.....
We will fight you on the field....
We will fight you in the Tiger cage....
And even if we have to retreat to the hills...
We will Never give up.
And if that final score is not the way we want it....we will see the next generation of App State Mountaineers rise up in their self-righteous indignation and swat your knuckle dragging vermin from the face of the football field.
Go Apps, Win Apps!
The weather and humidity will be what it will be. Sounds like we do not have a chance....that's really a shame....guess there is no point in watching the game....team should probably not even go.....wow....didn't realize that we just didn't have a chance until reading these insightful comments....guess they know better than I.....I sure feel foolish....
(Author: some astute App State fan before
the Michigan game a year ago.)
Hugo was bad enough for me.....thought my house in Charlotte was going to blow away.....can't imagine Katrina.
Here's hoping that all fans have something to brag about after the game.....that superstars will emerge.....that life is good....the beer is cold.....and the bands are hot.....and the clouds are thick....and that LSU air conditions their out door stadium just before this game kicks off.
LSU fans will get to see your wonderful recruits perform and be able to make adjustments that will help you the rest of the season.
With just the additional 22 more scholarships for football that LSU is allowed to use -vs- Appalachian; that in itself should ensure that you win the game.
It doesn't make us bad people, "or someone's Little brother" because ASU decided to stay in the Southern Conference years ago,and therefore 1-AA back then ,now FCS, and not spend more on football than we could afford to at the time. We were being realistic. More schools should have done that probably.
Just think of playing Florida, year after year, with them having 22 more scholarships. If you won occasionally, you too would be proud of your team.
We like to keep our crowds small....no point of just letting anyone into a football stadium is there?
I could take this thread seriously if it said ONE HUNDRED! I might still go for the over.
Rather be Tiger Bait than Corn Squeezings
Good....the truth be known then. Mark it as such.
Good....they will need to know how to come from behind in August.
The stadium will be Rocking, while the Tigers take a Socking.
It will be loud as Hell, as they take disgruntled Tiger fans to Jail.
Just too much agony, for the BCS Champions tragedy.
AE is not the whole team......but he just happens to be the best QB ever. There is none better....Never will be one better.
When he gets to the NFL, he is going to change the whole NFL.
I know you SEC fans do not believe me, but you will on a certain August evening.
We were Ahead in the JMU game....for the poster that wrote, "Why didn't their coach just run out the clock"...they couldn't, they were behind. WE caused the fumble, they didn't just lose it. Even IF they had scored, Armanti and company has scored Many times in twenty something seconds from the start (see NCAA Division 1 Football Championship against U of Delaware as an example, or the Michigan game.)
It's going to be really quiet seeing 90,000 plus LSU fans file out of the stadium.
