Notre Dame in 72, Ole Miss 72,
Can't believe it took so long to get these two mentioned! I was at both and the ND game ranks right up there with the '79 USC game.

Georgia 03 for me, I had to miss florida last year
, but the most remarkable thing about that game was when the crowd came to life after Georgia's last TD. It was pretty cool that Richt commented on it in the paper.
I have never seen that any other time in Tiger Stadium and have been going to games religiously now for the last 13 years.

Dome games don't count. It's way to easy to make a lot of noise in the dome.
Seriously, at the 03 NC game, we had to shout at the person sitting next to us to be heard.

The Notre Dame game was in 71 - it was loud, the stadium buzzed the entire game. I don't think the 72 Ole Miss game really compares - it was loud at times (winning touchdown pass), but didn't maintain the intensity the entire game as the ND game the year before.

No question about it. 1959, Halloween night, Billy Cannon breaking 7 tackles in his 89 yard punt return against Ole Miss. I remember well chug-a-lugging the remaining third of the fifth of scotch I had taken to the game. If not the loudest game, definitely the loudest 15 minutes!

The 1979 USC game was the greatest crowd in the history of sports...That's all sports ever played anywhere on the planet!
