Tell it to joe himself. He wanted to completely absolve himself of wade and the basketball program in the article a month ago by rabalais but wanted complete sole credit for coach O and the football program

11. Get the worthless ambulance casing lawyers to give out t-shirts at each home game you could even do different colors per section. And don’t tell me that’s expensive cause I can’t drive 1/2 mile without seeing a god damn billboard with their shitty faces all over it

It ain’t the arrow, it’s the Indian.

It’s a lame student section because the students are lame basketball fans. Football student section is in the end zone yet somehow they persevere. If you are a student, either own it or do something about it.

Students are lame anyways. Them being behind the goal for all these years isn’t a good excuse to not be loud and make noise. LSU basketball hasn’t been this successful since our last final 4 run and yet everybody refuses to make any noise. Everyone just sits down in their seats and calmly claps everytime we score a goal.

Everyone needs to start doing better and making noise! That place could become one of the loudest basketball arenas in college basketball if everyone just started to give a little effort into making some noise! Don’t complain if Will Wade decides to leave in a few years, for a program with a fanbase that actually supports its basketball team

They should just make the student seating down near the court, and if students don’t fill it up by game time then Let upper level seat people move down into those seats.

I love WW, but the basketball program isn’t necessarily doing much to promote themselves around campus. Wade needs to find a PR guy that can get the word out to the students because I can assure that many are completely unaware about our basketball team’s current success.

There were fewer students here today than there were on Wednesday night. Either way, the students simply do not yell like other SEC student sections in MBB. And the location of their seats has little to do with that.

So very edgy.
And childish.
With all your superior knowledge, please explain to us all why students are no shows then try to deflect responsibility?
Not holding my breath.
Grow up son. Stupidity hurts. Or don't you know that by now?
Seriously where are these enlightened intelligent students. Your team is undefeated in conference & a buncha no shows.
Pathetic.

What is it then? Just a fall off of interest in college basketball?

Used to, the team was comprised of your classmates. All which that means is diminished by early departure.

This is a good point.

I agree but these students can very easily look up the basketball schedule and figure out when the games are. I’m sure the majority of them heard about what happened last season and that should be enough for them to start going to games and such. The fanbase and lack of energy in that building is what’s keeping us from becoming a really good program.

This team is playing really good right now, and the rest of us need to start recognizing that, and show up to games, and get rowdy like we do for football games and baseball games.

Student section should be center court, and be as close as they can be. We need their involvement in BB. Yes, I am an old fart, but students are a necessity to the success of any sport.

Well read the list of things I posted earlier.
We need to quit the constant advertising at every break in the action.
Also make the gymnastics tickets $20-$30 like they are for sec basketball games and see what attendance is like. Trust me if that gymnastics fans had to pay $100+ to bring their family vs the $20 they pay, you’d see a difference

At tip off sections 338 to 342 had a total of 11 people. These were the only empty sections in the pmac. The upper baseline general public seats on the other end that actually cost money had way more people.

Turn on the Kansas Texas Tech game right now if you want to see a student section going nuts. FYI all of their student seats are behind the goal and way back from the court.
