For years, both Miles and now O have coached scared. We had the inferior teams. A Bama juggernaut was rolling in. We couldn't make one mistake because they'd pounce and demolish us.

That isn't the case this year. We have equal or better talent at every position. Saban is already scared to the point he has to play this "game time decision" stunt with Tua to try to gain whatever edge he can get.

As long as we coach and play like we are on equal footing with the team across from us and let it all fly, we win.

Coach O has proven a lot of things wrong this year and has shown he has learned from his mistakes. He can do both again bigly on Saturday. I'm inclined to believe he does based on his press conference statements:

"They don't have to play any different in this game than they played in any other game. They just need to play their best."

Tigers by a million.

Bingo. That offensive game plan last year was embarrassing. As painful as it was to watch, it made since in 2016.Mediocre QB, great defense, lets hope for the best.

Now,as it turned out Alabama was just flat out better than we were last year. But not 29 points better. Burrow looked like he was at a 7 on 7 camp. Never ran one time. The Bama DEs and OLB never once hesitated on him going wide.

I think our coaches let it rip this year. Something that I really like about Ed O is that he’s never made the same mistake over and over and he always makes the rational adjustment, we got embarrassed last year because he was too conservative and I just can’t see him going the same route again.

I think us being overly conservative in this game has negatively affected the teams psyche in the subsequent games causing us to lose games in November that we would have won in October.

Let it rip, Orgeron.

If we are going down, let's go down with an empty chamber, Seven Spanish Angels style.

Orgeron has shown a tendency to tighten up in a close game, and play much more conservatively. I just hope that's not the case on Saturday. I keep hearing about how Bama can't afford to lose, but we can. I don't agree. I think that if we lose, we are out, so we should approach the game from that perspective. Leave everything on the field. If the Gumps win because they're just better, then we have nothing to be upset about.

it's been confirmed that burrow suffered a separated shoulder days before the alabama game.

enough of that. I do agree and believe that we know we have to score, just like Texas and Florida, and we will play to win.

I actually disagree with the Miles part. If anything, he got inferior teams “up” for this game, and they played above their potential (2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014).

The “key” is, can our interior linemen get pressure up the middle.
If the Tigers can make their qb uncomfortable, their want for victory will manifest itself...

This was the definition of playing scared. Both Miles and Saban did it. They had all world defenses so they didn't want the offense to make a mistake, like the Eric Reid goal line pick.

Miles won playing tight to the vest so he figured he could use the same strategy against bama for the rest of time.

Les for whatever reason took the ball out of a hot Metts hands when OBJ was dominating, ran the ball, and tried a pointless FG.

fricking chavis. But still, 13 points.

2013 and 2015 were just embarrassing.

I don't believe Miles coached scared. Miles just ran into the teeth of their defense. Miles introduced zero creativity to exploit any weaknesses by the other team. That is different now. When their jaw is exposed it will get popped.

He used to. Fake FGs, going for it on 4th, TE end around on 4th down, etc.

Then he stopped because the risk wasn't worth the reward apparently.

This is why Clemson beat them in the past. They were not afraid of the "Mighty Bama."
