you are silly. Kelly is the 15th winningest coach all time in the history of the sports and Woodward has crushed it with hires.

Every athletic department is paying coaches and players millions. Its hard to win.

Anybody that thinks some of those major donors To LSU are going to pay that large of a buyout or full of shite. Those people did not get that much money from being stupid.

Again, are you the official bookkeeper. ? I understand you point, but Woodward is not dumb enough to bury LSU into a 60-70 million dollar hole without a backup plan. If he was, he'd be gone before we know it.

Well , who approves these contracts ? You have to go in to a coaching search with an idea of 1) what the going rate is and how much you want to spend . 2) Make the contract more performance based and certainly not 10 years guaranteed . 3) Look for a young up and coming energetic coach who wants to coach at a football destination like LSU , a guy who likes working with college kids ( like Napier ). As for Lincoln Riley … great offense and QB development , could never put the entire package together . I don’t think LR wanted SEC competition .

. If anything, Kelly's success his first 2 years are due to O's recruits, except for Jayden Daniels.

Are you serious?

There were only fricking 38 of them.

We have let coaches become way too powerful with this kind of nonsense. He is disincentivied from day one. We saw this when they fired O... Whom said "You said if you are paying me that much, which door do I leave out of and what time do you want me to leave".

So you're taking a situation that is entirely reflective of the kind of lazy shitbag Orgeron is and applying it to everyone.

I'm no fan of these stupid contracts, but O is a horrible example.

There is a solution . Bring in John Gruden as paid consultant on both sides of the ball . It is obvious that there are problems with recruiting SEC players and football fundamentals . Kelley gets phased out Gruden may get phased in as head coach . Gruden reportedly interviewed for the TN job . That way you can save the program .

That dressed for bowl game. More scholarship players existed and opted out of bowl game, like Nuss. Of the remaining players, several were high NFL picks.

There were about 50 players still on the team during the bowl game. 38 dressed.

A good chunk of those 50 were not on the 2022 team. That 38 number is certainly more accurate than the 50 or so.

DEIon is a proud black man and don’t you forget that. Also his team does not play in SEC. Neither does SMU.

Are you also counting all of the players that signed with LSU shortly after BK was hired? You know, the guys that were going to be on the 2022 team no matter if Kelly was the head coach or not?

Can you imagine what our records would have been last year without Jayden? We weren’t winning games thanks to Greg Penn and Major Burns

You need to find one of the very few HC candidates not represented by Jimmy Sexton if you want to get away with this approach

Woodward has selected several head football coaches in his career, how many championships have they won?

When the team stops trusting the coaches, it’s basically over.
